OK, he's fatigued and needs a rest.
We'll call it injured if it makes you feel any better.
He is twyerd and he weeds a west .Week as wiss.
Back in Worsfolds day Darling was saying he was tired and needed a rest and the club said get ****ed.
Anyway being managed is the correct term

Sorry, but Hurn... Hurn needs a rest.

OUT: Hurn, Reid, Williams, Hutchings, Kennedy
IN: Nelson, Allen, Redden, Jetta, Cameron

He did get a break. Late in 2011 he asked for a break and was given it for two games.

Look at the Geelong they have been resting and rotating their players through the compressed part perfectly.

Back in Worsfold’s day we were never scheduled for five games in 19 days.

If the sports science guys and the fitness staff say he shouldn’t be risked, he shouldn’t be risked.

Or let’s play him against medical advice and risk losing him for the rest of the season, just because “he’s a footballer and he’s paid to play football, therefore he must play”

Good luck to Geelong and we are not them
Dont think we are in a position with our depth to be resting key players and expect to finish top four.

People are speculating a lot around Nic Nat's durability.

I agree with your sentiment that if high performance guys are saying rest him, rest him.

On the other hand, we don't know if his risk of injury is heightened due to short turnaround.

I've always believed the club manages Nic in game due to the risk of him injuring himself under fatigue.

Fatigue in game and ability to play on short turn arounds is not the same thing, and we shouldn't assume that he needs to be rested simply because we are playing a compressed fixture.

We won't have to wait long to find out. Team for tuesday will come out on Monday night.

Let's see which way the club goes, and just back them in to make the right choice.

Yeah I agree, it’s a judgement call and we don’t have the information to make it. Up to the boffins at the club.

Just hope they’re a bit more sensible about it than some punters who think it’s as simple as saying “don’t be soft, you’ve got a game coming up so you’re playing in it”. That sort of attitude should have died off with floppy disks and rotary phones.

We are going to have to otherwise we destroy our key players and them hobble into finals to banged up.

We are already 2 games in to our compressed fixture.

We have 3 games in 14 days. We have already rested Redden, Allen, Waterman due to injury. Yeo will be out for another couple of weeks, so will be fresh. By all accounts Kennedy played 10 minutes of football last night and will miss the Essendon game. For Josh, that is 10 minutes of football between the GWS game on Sunday and the bulldogs game 11 days later on Thursday week.

Gaff, with his endurance profile should be fine.

The only ones that should be considered for a rest would be Nic, Shuey and Kelly. Depending on what the high performance guys say, we may need to rest Nic. One of Shuey or Kelly may need to sit one game out each, perhaps the North game when Yeo should be back.

Hurns is a concern, but that feels more like form than anything.

With Hurn we can replace him Nelson this week and we would be gaining a better player ( Would have NEVER thought to say that last year haha). Don't discount Hurn later in the season if he refreshen up for finals though.
