agreed, Marley is the one that I would retain, Sinkers 1 week only in this role.
Back 6: Shaw, Max, Brown, Marley, O'Brien and Reid.

Which just so happens to be our back six;

B: Nathan Brown, Ben Reid, Harry O'Brien
HB: Heath Shaw, Nick Maxwell, Marley Williams
C: Steele Sidebottom, Brent Macaffer, Luke Ball
HF: Jamie Elliott, Quinten Lynch, Dane Swan
F: Ben Kennedy, Travis Cloke, Josh Thomas
Foll: Darren Jolly, Scott Pendlebury, Jarryd Blair
Int: Ben Snclair, Kyle Martin, Paul Seedsman, Sam Dwyer

Sinclair isn't part of our defence, or offence, he's a swing player who will be used at the moment to fill gaps until the likes of Young, Goldsack, Beams (will move a mid to the forward line when he returns) etc return.

Sinclair, like Didak isn't in our best 22 but at the moment he is being selected ahead of Didak based on versatility and defensive pressure. like it or not.

I sense a late out though, lots of clubs have chosen to rest players before the bye to get them right for the run home and I can see us resting someone if they pull up a little sore after training tomorrow, and Didak would be the likely emergency to benefit from a late out.

Both are swing players, one is far more creative and the other more defensive.

It would be no surprise and fair enough that Buck's prefers the versatility of the more defensive player.

Fair comment B!
But to the best of my knowledge they haven't played together yet at AFL level therefor it is not proven.
When both Ball and Beams were out earlier in the year I was hoping for either or both of Thomas and Martin to be selected to add grunt in those vacant center positions. It never happened and I felt the team lacked balance, now we have Ball back and both Martin and Thomas selected.
At no stage did I think we could play Ball, Thomas, Martin and Blair in the same team and not taking into consideration the fact that the Caf has made a central position his own as a run with midfielder.

With you all the way there, KJ. Still, names and past service/achievements aside, as players come back from the injury list there's going to be more unlucky outs, I guess.

Harry O has been pivotal this season for breaking lines, and running the ball down the field. His role on the wing has been exceptional, last thing he should be doing is going down back if he doesn't have too. Who is going to be breaking the lines in the middle without harry? Didak wouldn't be.

with only Fas not available, our small forward stocks are almost at full strength.
It's a good day HBF when you state our small forward stocks are almost at full strength yet there is no Krak, Daisy or Dids selected; bodes well for the future one hopes.

Don't forget about the return of the Beamer! It would be great to see him back in the midfield to release Swan to a forward/ mid role, he would be good for 40 plus a year??

Equally important that he goes down back if he has too. Like all players he will be required to run hard both ways.

Yeah I agree, Im not saying he shouldn't play down back if required to do so. But why would you hurt the team by taking away midfield carry and playing him down back when we have players such as Sinclair, Oxley, Seedsman etc can play that role. But Didak cannot replicate the role Harry has been playing on the wing, and until Young comes back we won't have someone else to do it. Neither can Didak play down back like Sinkers can.

Shit you hung me out to dry Matty.
Your post at # 226 is chalk and cheese compared to the one listed above;)
"I haven't been too critical of Buckley's moves but leaving Didak out when the likes of Sinclair are still in the team just astounds me".

Yep, my first response was emotional, but when you sit back and analyse it Sinclair in the 22 makes more sense than Didak at the moment.

Pissed of about Didak he had 25 touches last week and was his 2nd game back

Love Dids deserves a bit better then that

I'm going to laugh if Bucks is trolling the media here and Didak was always intended to play as someone else is sore and will be pulled out once that player struggles at training tomorrow.

Looking back in history, on June 14 1902, Collingwood kick 4.26(50) to 1.8(14) in a shocking display against South Melbourne. This game should definitely be a different outcome. Collingwood by 70.

Broomhead not in!?!

Sorry I meant to say was Cloke's Great, Great grandfather at FF?:p

Yes, Cecil Cloke was a strong marking forward that like Travis was a lefty, with the awkward ball drop that David made more famous. [Apparently got into a few punch ups with teammates too, like Cameron].
