Campbell for Xerri is so pointless, should have just put another game into Xerri if Maj isn’t ready.

I dont agree with the Marley dropping either, but I do think that Hadyen will play on Tippa, and while being tested, I think it will be good for his development. LMac is another who could go back, but I like the idea of playing him through the guts!

I dont think Campbell is a good choice either for 2 reasons: Slippery conditions & he is not our future.

Campbell provides structure. We are crying out for a big bloke to crash a pack in our forward line. He will hold the forward line until Maj and then Larkey are ready. There is a lot of youth playing in this team they need some big bodies to play with. I like the Campbell inclusion. He also offers another target for the kick out.

Lmac has to be on his last legs. Marley must have done something to piss off Shaw.

I reckon that Lmac will go back this week, so it will be Hayden Lmac Pittard and Atley playing on their smalls.

Ahern replaces Cunnington in the middle. Bailey helps out on the wing. Does this mean That Polec/Dumont play more in the guts? I hope so.

Durdin's had plenty of chances to stamp his name on the best 22, and at best he's average.

There's a case to be made for McKay since there's such a small sample size, but even when he's come to AFL level he's been invisible, and both of them play the exact same; they kick it backwards and don't move an inch. The highest quality they have is marking, which at VFL looks fine, but suddenly that stat cuts in half at AFL level.

Murphy has the most potential of those 3, he can mark on the move and on the spot, has a decent kicking ability, he's faster and looks for options. Looks to be more of a well rounded player.

Who we not playin old mate? Xerri couldn't retain his place, unless his role is to not touch the ball. Still like him though. If i was Durdin, Mckay or Wood and the club prefered Campbell over me.

Yes some interesting calls although got two out of three right.... daw mustn't be quite there yet and don't need him in defence as they are relatively small up fwd. ahern is clearly a fav but has to play in cunners spot give him a chance if not would have preferred Bonar.... Scott was always coming in let's hope he can get abit more involved. Guessing needed height so with no daw and wood must be pretty far back now and not really sure the hosie issue but Campbell is always committed... be interesting if he does ruck or if he is fwd. still think one defender too many and interesting out of the small def it's Williams to go first.... clearly not his favourite! The selection committee knows these players, their fitness, physical, mental, and technical qualities far better than anyone on this forum. They know whether players have the capacity to be good AFL players. They don't need to blindly throw them into a match to find out if they magically become capable.

Dude, that beats me. Not much about whatever we've been doing has made much sense at all aside from the drafting in the past 2 years but hey I don't work at the club. We probably kept him on board because we can't see any defenders we can get at least for the next year, there's more old deadwood than young deadwood at the moment list-wise so he should count his blessings. I can guarantee you he wouldn't get a game at any other club.

That would work and I'd like to see it, but for some reason, we aren't using Hayden in the midfield, or in the tagging role that he trained for (Yet?)

some players play better when given a chance at the afl level over how they train. Sometimes you do need to throw them in to find out

Oh I know, he's just about my most hated player on the list because of his piss weak efforts. But Tom ******* Campbell over him? Really? I get reward for effort on the training track and all that, but Shaw better have a plan in mind with Campbell. Wood can at least have an impact on the scoreboard.

So, now he’s become Tom ******** Campbell. A bloke who has been a model citizen for NMFC deserves that? I can understand the thinking that he shouldn’t be selected but...
