How can Freo omit one player, and have no one coming in to replace ? are they planning on starting one short

Disagree
Bonar was good, played a role
Not too many blues
He has to get better offensively and would be eyeing off JZ spot if he is up to it

How is that Backline !

Clarko mentioned after the game that we lacked polish coming out of defence. That wasn’t going to be helped by bringing Corr in and keeping Bonar.

Going to be interesting to see what we do when McKay comes back.

Glad Bonnar was dropped. I felt he was poor on the weekend and clearly not doing enough to impact the contest when it comes in high and deep. Far too many times it's over the back of him and Corr plays that role far better and no one else down back played worse to drop otherwise. Reckon Phillips was a bit stiff to not get in.

I love this comment because in a pack of 7 or 8 we blame 1 guy rather than the unit which was the problem.

Only concern is the match ups of Tab, Darcy/Jackson and Fyfe. Surely Ziebs isn’t on Fyfe.

Otherwise very happy with the 22

Before the season started, 95% of us expected McKay, Corr and Logue to start all games - if available. It’s hardly surprising for Corr to come in, especially in the absence of McKay. It certainly adds more “spine”. Bonar will be back again. There’s good competition for places - at last.

I'm not blaming one guy, team defense is the way things are done these days, but for someone with his speed and athleticism he doesn't do enough in these situations. Logue was excellent at reading the footy and being involved in the contest where from my observations both at the game and watching it back he just looked like the weak link down there. I made some comments that he looks very iffy with ball in hand and reminded me of McKay when he was first getting games years ago and just wanted to rid the ball to the nearest person the second he got it in his hands and I feel nervous when it's in his vicinity. just my opinion however and not needing approval for it. Happy to be proved wrong or engage in conversation as to why you'd disagree.

Nothing surprising about corr in moreso that it should be for a small

As you mentioned most expect 3 kpd
With McKay out you would expect the next tallest type defender to be there like bonar with corr and logue

I think it would depend on match ups with our opponent. Seems like the selection committee are backing one the medium size defenders in to play on Freos third best forward

Thought bonar wasn’t getting dropped lol
Corr is 100X better decision maker with ball in hand and positional as well, athletically he suffers a bit but bonar doesn’t know how to use his body properly.

Think Taylor / sleevo need to perform better or they’ll be in the gun next week.
Phillips , Howe and tucker breathing down their neck
