For all those suggesting it, we will not be dropping both Kepler AND Clarke.

Kepler was the worst of the two. Did anyone notice that thing strapped to his leg under the bandage?

Yeah saw it - looked like some weird kind of rectangular block, figured it was his house arrest GPS device

Best guess so far! Tho' it does worry me you know of such things...

Can't agree that Kep was worst of the two, though I do think he pissed Rosscoe Pekoe off the most of the two. Hard to say a 20 touch game is worthy of being dropped IMHO, especially when Clarke (my BF buddy) was as soft, uninterested and poor defensively as he was today. I can see why East Perth weren't rapt in Zac's efforts over the last couple of weeks, he needs to go back and get back to the form he had for the first few rounds of the year...

INS:

FYFE (start and sub OUT)
LOWER
NEALE
MAYNE

DAWSON (if fit)
BROUGHTON (if fit)

OUTS:
Duffield (can't understand the hate leveled at Kep when Duff was just twenty times as shitful)
Suban (how can such a good first season become so awful in year 3??)
Clarke
Mundy (if injured) or Ibbo/Mz

Spurr (if Dawson is fit)
Sutty (if Broughts is fit)

Thought Clarke played alright without being spectacular, should stay in ahead of Keps.

Suban, couldn't find the ball against teenagers, he just doesn't have what it takes for AFL.

Duffield, some one needs to make way for Dawson and he is the weakest link.

I like Mzungu, but he's not offering much atm, others more deserving of a spot.

In: Fyfe, Dawson, Neale, Lower.

Roberton was excellent. His ball use under pressure is just getting better and better. 92%DE today. He is second for DE% at Freo for the season so far behind only McPharlin. He has a brilliant set of hands in close and his kicking is much better than it was last year. He is still young and with another 8 or so kilos on him, he'll develop into a very solid defender.

Kepler was much better than Clarke today. Kep had twice as many possesions and twice as many shots on goal.

What on earth has happened to Nic Suban? I had such high hopes.

In: Fyfe, Dawson, Broughton, Neale, Lower
Out: Mzungu, Suban, Duffield, Clarke, and one more

Kepler had an off day, the bigger concern is Clarke, really should have provided an option all day around the ground. Took some quality marks but that's about it, quite a few players took the day off.

Shit's me that we didn't have the major ball winner on the field, there's something just wrong there...

In: Fyfe, Dawson, Mayne, Neale
Out: Suban, Bradley (or Clarke), Duffield, Muzungu (or Sutcliffe)

If Broughton is fit, he can take Spurr's spot down back.

Good to have some quality coming back.

Agree with others, Roberton's been pretty good.

Out - Bradley, Suban, Ibbotson, Duffield, Mzungu
In - Fyfe, Mayne, Neale, Broughton, Dawson

Can't wait to see mello back in the side. He is better than Son son. Harder at the ball, Better defensive tackling and pressure acts, just as good a kick and probably a better set shot, not sure it will be this week, but the sooner the better...

What if Walters stays in, Mellington plays in the forward role that Broughton was playing, Broughton goes back to defence, and Ibbotson/Duffield/Suban go back to the WAFL?

Any list that of outs doesn't have Ibbotson at the top is a massive fail.
Weak as piss, lacksadaisical crap footballer. GTFO of my team.
Mzungu was shizen today. Suban: gone

Duffield. Good lord. Lazy, weak footballer. Out.
Ins: Lower, Neale, Fyfe, Broughton. Broughton on to a back flank.
Mayne back in for Clarke. He's a rubbish forward. Leads into the areas where other talls are already, dragging an extra defender to the contest.
I was at Bassendean yesterday. Lachie Neal was superb. Worked his arse off and his ball use was great.

Got space for Dawson or Mayne if fit?

Thats alot of quality to bring into the side. I like the position we are in at the moment.

One thing in our favour for this game against Port Adeliade, is that they are coming off a game in Darwin. History shows that teams struggle the week after, they could make a few changes to freshen the team up so we need a hard running team.

GIMMIE THE FYFE!!!

Out: Ibbotson - such a frustrating player. Can judge the ball well in flight, but it pisses me off that EVERY time he gets it, automatically looks for an easy option backwards or sideways. The one time he was under pressure and went into the corridor today, he turned it straight over. He seems to wet himself when required to take the game on, and we can't have that coming off half back.

Clarke - poor WAFL form translates to poor AFL form, who knew. I really like what he can offer at times but he's not there yet and needs to earn his spot.

Suban - No idea what is going on with his development, it's just not working

Ins: Fyfe, Neale, Mayne/Broughton/Dawson (depending on availability)

Thought Kepler was actually pretty good today, bar kicking at goal, offers more than Clarke right now. Mzungu on a knife's edge you'd think.

Going to be an interesting dilemma when Crozier is up and about as well. They will all need to run through the midfield, and their abilities in that role may be the determining thing in the selection.

I forgot Mayne in my post above.

The ins I'd like to see are... Fyfe, Mayne, Dawson, Broughton, Neale, Lower

The Outs I'd like to see are... Mzungu, Suban, Duffield.

I think that Fyfe, Dawson and Mayne are definite ins if they're all fit. Fyfe for obvious reasons. Dawson really frees Johnson up to play a much more attacking role. And Mayne contributes so much more than Clarke or Bradley.

Can't see Lyon making many more changes than necessery. Selection will be very interesting this week.

Fyfe, Mayne, and Dawson are bona fide best 22 if fit, and Neale is demanding selection. Hard to feel any angst when our biggest dilemma is to find spots for four of this quality

Sutcliffe just looks like he belongs. Quick, great skills, great runner. Surprised some have him as an out

Yes very puzzling why he wasnt on from the start, perfect game for him to get some more experience...no way he will be dropped, cant understand why one of Duffield,Suban or Clarke were'nt subs,Sutcliffe deserved a full game.
Ibbitson was SHIZZEN again,Clarke failed to put any forward line pressure on and Suban does'nt look up for it Mzungu panicks a bit around goal and his tackling is ordinary but think he gives us a bit of run which none of the others I mentioned do.....so that may save him.
INS Fyfe,Neale(again cant understand why he wasnt playing today...perfect opportunity) and Mayne if fit (but doubt it as it was a calf injury and he has form ?? from last year)

Really, really, really hope Mayne is ok to play. His accuracy was sorely missed. Agree with Lach about Ibbotson, he has really pissed me off the last two games with his lack of effort. What really annoyed me was that whe Ibbo was dropped this year he didn't play WAFL and came straight back into the side without any penance. Maybe should be swapped for Broughton if he is ok. And why is Sutcliffe the sub? Tonnes more talent then Suban and others for that matter.
