Biggest issue for Wilson is his kicking. In the current game and in his role you can’t afford to be such a poor kick
Wtf? Don't know where you get that idea. His 3 AFL games? If you've seen him play in the VFL you'd know he's an excellent kick! Once he gets a few more games at AFL level I have no doubt he'll be a keeper.

He is terrible, failed experiment.

Not one effective disposal comes to mind when I think of this guy. He might be a decent VFL standard player, but nothing thus far suggests hes going to make the grade - not even as depth.

Hes 24 this month, honestly I wouldnt be investing too much more time into him, especially as a half back - the position we have the most depth in.

Give games to Rantall to see if he has it, but Wilson, unfortunately does not.

Experiment? 3 games is your sample size and you're ready to write him off?? 95% of AFL players would've been written off by you after 3 games if that's the case.

I'd be happy to be proved wrong, but I'll stick to my guns on this one.

What has he done that makes you think otherwise? Worse than the Brown brothers IMO.

Watch his VFL games. He's played THREE AFL games ffs.

So you agree that the exposed form at AFL level has been poor at best.

Good clubs know when to make a call on project players, bad clubs keep them on for years with very little output.
17 disposals in his 2nd game and barely wasted any of them. Wasn't great last week but he wasn't alone there.

No club, good or bad, judges a player's capability on their first 3 games. You do realise he was drafted in 2019? Years??

THREE GAMES

I don’t care when he was drafted, he’s 24 years old.

Needs to be showing something.

17 dispaoals against Port for a total of 200m Gained. - so he had balled sideways and backward a lot.

We can do better

Whadya mean you don't care when he was drafted? You said " bad clubs keep them on for years with very little output". Now it's irrelevant when he was drafted? If you don't care about facts then it's pointless saying anything. The most important fact is Wilson's played THREE games. Thank the powers that be that you're not making calls on any players career based on that.

I was referring to his age, as player who is already 24 it is unlikely he will develop significantly to warrant persisting much more after this year.

Correct, he was drafted in 2019. This means he had two years on the list without getting a game. He is now being gifted games due to having very little else in front of him, if any.

I wouldnt expect to see him get a new contract, unless they can somehow justify keeping him as a CAT B.

You must be taking the P surely. Drafted in May 2019 after a basketball career, with no pre-season, hadn't played football since juniors, had very little opportunity at VFL level due to Covid-19 and although you haven't seen any of his progress at that level this year you're convinced after seeing him in 3 games that he is unlikely to develop significantly because he's 24 years old?? Unless you have a secret time machine, that is bizarrely speculative by any measure.

And no, he's not being "gifted" games. He's earned them through his great form in the VFL where, shock horror, as a 24 year old he's shown some fast development.

Too slow for mine. He is another Shaz. Too small for big forwards, too slow to play on smalls.

Oh please.....says the bloke who has likely never had anything to do with professional athletes....

Based on your 3 game rule for determining whether a players career is done or not, i've just read 3 of your comments and reckon you're no good. I'm off ya!

I have a source who I trust as I know who his source would be, is saying the game is going to be in Sydney. All but confirmed.
And now it sounds the whole reason for the delay in fixture is SA Health is going to budge and it will be in Adelaide.

Maybe the AFL shouldn't have been telling their SA based Goal/Boundary umpires on Monday to prepare for a game in Sydney then.
