I agree, but when you hear that teams like Geelong and WC are in the hunt for players like Coniglio it makes me wonder how they are going to fit them in their cap

We have managed to pick up some big names ourselves over the years still struggling to see your point. Picking off GWS is a sport in itself and we’ve had great success in that department

I know he has had surgery, but so far I've only seen "at least" one week, or will "miss weeks"

Not sure if it has been confirmed?
Didn't the report say that he will see the surgeon again to determine how many weeks he could miss. Not sure when he is scheduled for that. Probably not today

That's the report I'm counting on. We probably won't find out today even if it was today. Maybe the Jock N Journo podcast on Wednesday's release...

If we bring the same pressure next week we should put them to the sword. The fact we're playing away helps of course but hopefully we can further expose their reliance on Kelly and Cogs.

I think we need to play a defensive forward on Whitfield. Maybe that can be WHE's job for the week.

I agree. I think Mayne would be the man after the job he did on Hurn. It also lets us keep Pendlebury defensive wing where his pace isn't exposed (like it has on ball) and his field kicking is put to good use.

Whitfield is the guy we need to put some work into this week. Unfortunately he is probably a better runner than anyone we have, so may need to rotate a few through him. Has speed as well as endurance.

Has been on Phillips before, as they are on par with one another who are elite runners with the same endurance.

I'd be going:

In: Adams, Howe, Scharenberg

Out: Pendlebury, Moore, Crocker

Agree with an earlier poster that we need to put some serious attention into Whitfield. Without Coniglio and Kelly, we surely shut down their next best.

The beauty of the tag on Whitfield is he plays more on a wing, so we don't really have to sacrifice an onballer. We could run Crisp on a wing on him for example.
