OUT:
Salem, Brown, Woewodin

IN:
McAdam, Sestan, Kozzy

McAdam was telling supporters a while back he was aiming for ANZAC Eve, so I'm hoping he's right otherwise bring in Fullerton. Sestan deserves a crack IMO and can fill that half back spot. Woey hasn't done near enough, don't quite understand the big wraps for him by some. Been average.
Sestan half back?

Playing Fullarton alongside Petty, JVR and Fritsch would create the same problems, imo.

Would only pull the trigger if McAdam isn't right, but think Fullerton means JVR doesn't have to ruck, Fritsch doesn't play tall, especially this year when he's hanging back fro crumbs, so Kozzy and Fritsch at the feet of 2 full time key forwards is possibly a good move for us within our game style IMO.

why do we always end up with a forward line that is too tall and too slow, then we have to wait several weeks for goody to figure out that our best set up is and has always been 2 tall forwards plus fristch and the small brigade. why , whyyyyyyyyyyyyy

at this point i don't even care who the 2 tall forwards are, but preferably Petty and van Rooyen because that was clearly our best setup, albeit fleetingly, last year

I thought Woey was OK last night, and after 3 games as sub needs a full game (in 1s or Casey).

With Oliver iffy, Salem out, or needing a smaller forward there's a few options to slot him in the side.

Brown and Salem out; hopefully Oliver too so he gets 100% right (but doubt he is).

Kozz, McAdam (if fit) in. Maybe Sestan? Nfi tbh who else would be around the mark.

Maybe Laurie gets an 8th shot

I'd be keen to see AMW get a go as well as Sestan. With Kozzy back and Tholstrup probably getting another game he might not get a look in though. They're the two closest to deserving a crack IMO.

All our depth is either trash or so inexperienced.

Brown, Oliver, Salem all have to go. Tholstrup too most likely. But maybe he goes to sub and Woey gets a full game? Really struggling to make changes that's going yo make us better.

Out - Brown, Oliver, Salem. Tholstrup to sub
In - Koz, Woey, Hunter

Don't mind Sestan. Let's see how he goes at Casey. Spot up for grabs I guess but he hasn't done much at Casey. Hopefully McAdam is fit soon. Missing Bowser too. Love the little blood nut

Maybe I'm jaded after how flat we were the other night, but personally I'd be more interested in seeing Sestan and AMW than Woey and Hunter.

Bowey is one of my favourite players, so can't wait to have him back, still a long way off though.

I think injuries have had a big impact on our depth - Consider that all of Brayshaw, Smith*, Melksham, Bowey, McAdam, Turner, Hore, and Spargo are all currently out, that's a long list of either best 22 or next cab off the rank.

Forgot about Hore. Love that guy. Rather him over Salem every day of the week.

Can we move Petty to half back in Salem's spot? Bring in Fullarton (second ruck, leaving JVR full time forward).

I also really really want to see Rivers rotate through the midfield. Hopefully when Bowey comes back this will be possible.
As in play T-Mac, Fullarton, Brown, Petty, May, JVR, Lever and Gawn all in the same side? Sounds like a nightmare tbh, we're already too tall

As far as I'm concerned we are 1-2 this season. Games against the dogs, Hawks, crows etc don't. Sure they help you qualify initially but if you aren't winning against the top 8 more than not you won't win the flag.

1-2 and a disappointing start because we were absolutely flogged by Sydney and Brisbane.

That win against Port was pure luck as well. Beaten soundly everywhere except the scoreboard.

Don't get me wrong it was good to see us win in a different way but it wasn't set shots 20 out directly Infront, there was 5 or 6 goals which were deep and wide are probably a 1 in 5 type of kick each time. Geelong can win with less inside 50s but they hit Hawkins and Cameron 15m our directly Infront on the lead and make them sure things.

That wasn't us it was just a lucky accurate game

Seeing expected score gradually win people over as a great stat whether they like it or not...

It's funny how many people here were so keen for Petty to be back because he was our supposed forward saviour. He's been trash since coming back.

I wouldn't be putting too much weight on Thursday's game given we got smashed for clearances and inside 50s. Our forward efficiency was actually better than the Lions. Not saying Petty, Brown and JVR were great of course, but they weren't the issue IMO.
