really? he was a disgrace. Some of his defensive efforts were unforgivable. What did he have 4 goals kicked on him? Not to mention the amount of dumb handballs. Even the commentators were mentioning how poor some of his efforts were.

I don't expect that many changes though. Goody loves Melky so he will stay, probably the same for Tmac. I love Bowser but he alongside Tomo was the worst and is in bad form and Hibbo is in good form so has to come in (and Hibbo is another of Goody's favs).

When Gawn does come back I would like to see Grundy majority rucking with Gawn resting back, not forward.

He's milked his way into the team off the back of zero practise games during the summer and no Casey form at all.

If the whole romanticism of giving him games purely to get him to 100 games for the Dees, then coaching staff should all be sacked.

Integrity of selection is important for a club culture and when there's a bloke in the teams who's getting a free ride because he's best mates with the coach then how do guys like Laurie, Howes, Jordon and even Dunstan feel when they're busting their backsides off for zero to no reward over this bloke.

JVR shouldn’t be rucking. You just don’t take your next gen centre half forward and force him to go up against Draper or Nankervis. If Gawn isn’t ready then play Schache as second ruckman.

Schache has 3.2 at half time in the wet. Reasonable chance they bring him in for McDonald as it seems like Brown just isn't able to get through a full session. JVR was being dragged into defence when he played resting ruck yesterday which was a complete structural failure from Goodwin and Stafford. He's never converted his VFL form into AFL form, but options are thin unless Max comes back.

I'm doubtful that Gawn comes straight back in, and with Richmond not having any viable ruck option and it being a marathon and not a sprint I wouldn't be opposed to giving him one more week to make sure he's cherry ripe.

I'd love to say someone in for Melksham, but can't see it happening with them seeming so gung ho to get him to 100 games for F/S.

Jordon into the 22, Melksham back to sub or more preferably out of the team pls.

The rest of Bowey, Spaz, etc have enough coins in the bank to get another chance.

Forget the goals he botched, at one point he handpassed the ball like 40metres to someone. Was so weird.

Given Richmond’s ruck cupboard is bare with Miller and Ryan likely rucking, if Gawn doesn’t play then whoever is relief rucking will probably look reasonable. Even Tmac.

Schache is at least a genuine ruck height and has the most actual experience at AFL level compared to the other candidates.

If there’s no Gawn then Schache should come in. If Gawn is back, then there’s one spot between Tmac, Brown and Schache. I’d expect Brown would get that one spot.

If Schache's only contribution was to make sure JVR doesn't have to ruck then that's worth including him alone.

If Gawn is fit though he'll just come in for Tmac and hopefully Lever is fit and Petty can go forward again.

I ripped into him massively when he got named for his first game this year then ate a big nice big shit sandwich, with extra egg planted straight on my face, and owned up to it humbly and sincerely. He'd been pretty good.

Yep, he was yell at the TV bad on multiple occasions. Shouldn't be pulling on a Melbourne guernsey again unless we have a defensive injury crisis.
