Makes sense for Newchurch to have a run, once the game has slowed, in the 2nd half ....could be quite the weapon, with his paceI hope so.

Himmelberg - noNewchurch Medi-Sub ?
That broken glass noise was my hope in this club rebuilding under Nicks being shatteredI think I broke a glass.
Looking at the 4 emergencies, he is the obvious choice. I guess we'll find out when SANFL kicks off Saturday arvo.Makes sense for Newchurch to have a run, once the game has slowed, in the 2nd half ....could be quite the weapon, with his pace
Great. 1st game and he warms the bench and may or may not come on.Himmelberg - no
Gollant - like him, but not sub
Crouch - * no
Newchurch - obvious choice
I bet he'd prefer that to not being named at all. Not the worst way to go.Great. 1st game and he warms the bench and may or may not come on.

So not playing.Newchurch Medi-Sub ?
If they play him in the midfield - okay selection and worth a shot.Murphy looks decent as a stoppage mid. Reads it off hands well, good awareness in traffic.
We refuse to use him in the centre square though.
Instead he plays as a high half forward and our "Crows have pushed an extra one up to the stoppages" player for around the ground ball ups.
Means that the opposition are then free to shuffle & generate a spare behind the ball and, hey presto, Tom Stewart 18 intercept possessions later (or Jake Lever this week).
Poor structure first, poor selection second
Nicks hates X factor is the vibe I get.Jesus I'm just fed up of this selection policy - you have a potential X factor type player in Newchurch ready to come in and be given a block of games and we bring back in slugs like Murphy.
* off Nicks.
But our midfield is stacked...Murphy looks decent as a stoppage mid. Reads it off hands well, good awareness in traffic.

What's even sillier is we're already going into those contests with our best contested mids. Like we stack it with contested mids, add in half forwards around the contest too, then wonder why we sit there and handball backwards and run out of space to move the ball. It's stacks on.Murphy looks decent as a stoppage mid. Reads it off hands well, good awareness in traffic.

It's really notBut our midfield is stacked...

Do Not Attack?It’s DNA
yep.. murphy was good in the midfield a couple of times earlier in the year.. then teams cottoned on to him, started putting work into him and he crumbled and got dropped..
Like a pile of sticks. But our midfield is stacked...

what does that tell you?..
that the only time he is any good as a midfielder is when he‘s allowed to run around like and unregistered dog. as soon as he was made accountable and manned up.. his true abilities emerged.

Ta. I was looking at the team on afc.com.auCrouch not on the emergency list, Sholl will be sub
3. and if Ned had been injured the past few weeks, and underperforming because of it, you can be guaranteed Burgess would've pulled him out of the team a lot earlier. Burgess is the best in the business.1. Why was he playing injured?
2. A factor in us getting flogged by Melbourne won't be Ned McHenry in or out.
Would be a good week to run Hately with Petracca, but we will probably match him up on Langdon off a wing & he will be run off his feet.I suspect Murphy may be a run with player on Oliver or Petracca. He cant be there as a forward.
You don't want to debut a player as Medi-sub, may not get on ground, what a shit way to remember your first "game"I hope so.
