Thilthorpe out and Himmel in.
Further evidence that Nicks and his game plan has zero flexibility.

Changes are both forced and like for like.

Bunch of uncreative numpties at west lakes.

I’m all for Worrell getting a game, but on the premise of like for like. Wtf…

So what would you do?

Berg has been in great form in SANFL for 2 months now, level above his previous, been keen as to see how he goes in AFL,great he got a chance. Hopefully it translates.

We are such a circus at the Crows. :drunk:

The amount of Spin and Doublespeak down at West Lakes is Politician-worthy...One week its "we will look to prioritise youth and development" then next week its just 1 or 2 forced changes after our pants were pulled down.

Thing with playing berg is we are creating a problem. If he plays well then does he keep RT out? That's wht happened earlier in the year. Fog ain't doing bad so he won't be going out and same for tex

Not sure how you can say a player playing well is creating a problem? Surely it’s a good issue to have?
Do you just not play someone in case they play well?

Once again, for all those who maybe have never player professional or semi-professional sport, playing through niggles is perfectly normal. As a matter of fact both Burgess and Melbourne players attested to being able to build resilience around niggling injuries and playing through and beyond previously perceived physical limits as a reason for their success.

My guess is that they’ve looked at the makeup of our defence and decided that whatever limitations he has in his performance due to those niggles, was outweighed by the experience he provides down there. Don’t get me wrong I think he could have made way earlier for sure, but particular with Brown out it does make us very light on for experience, it’s not as simple as just dropping him for one reason.

But simply, his performance was comical. Experienced comedian I'd say.

It's a good problem BUT the good problem kept RT out of the side for a month or so earlier this year. Don't necessarily need that for RTs development

What’s the solution?
Don’t play another tall?

He's Out of contract, for wanna good indication of whether to keep him or not

Well yeah it was comical, but there were multiple facets to his game against Carlton.

1) Inexperienced KPD
2) Doedee playing through niggles that were possibly bad enough for him not to play, and thus not providing adequate defensive coverage/intercepting.
3) Carlton club record 74 inside 50’s
4) Played intermittently against Curnow and McKay, Curnow being current Coleman medallist.

Keeping mind mind that two weeks later Curnow went on to kick 6 goals against the Tom McCartin, who is no mug.

Players playing well is a problem we can afford to have at the moment I think

That's not a problem, it's a lack of creative thinking that becomes a problem. If Berg and Thilthorpe are playing well, then you play both, our ruck becomes more dynamic and we move Fog and Tex up to half forward.

AND we p**s McHenry off to SANFL
