Yep, although McAsey was ok this weekend. Not our best KPD, but didn’t drop his chin which is a massive improvement for him.

Yup, this was one of them.

He needs a good, sustained run of solid football before we should even put his name up on the magnet board.

McAsey not even playing KPD in the sanfl, he is playing the unaccountable 3 man up.
Borlase and Murray are our KPD's
As we keep saying, it's the easiest position on the field.
He is still miles off

I doubt Crouch was in the best players today by anyone with a clue who was watching the game.

Imo, at least 1 of Crouch & Sloane on their current form needs to make way for a form Sanfl player.

Sloane is the one who should be dropped, but we don't like dropping captains.
Herald Sun, Age, Fox and AFL all named in their top 5.
Not my selection,

Not my selection,
Did you watch the game at all?

Clearly they are just going of stats without actually watching the game!

What The Club might find palatable:
  • Sloane: Becomes the permanent medi-sub for the rest of the season, he can play forward, back or mid. Doesn't matter if he doesn't come on - saves a youngster missing a game.

I severely doubt relegating a highly paid Captain to permanent medi-sub is a decision the Club would find palatable.

Did you read my Post,
Not my selection,
All I am saying is he will not be dropped, Again just to make it clear not my selection But he has been named in the top 5 in several publications,
I was not at the Game but based on the Box I did not rate his game,

So you didn't rate him in our top 5.

So why bring up useless publications who clearly didn't watch the game?

Tell it as you see it, rather bring up people who are irrelevant.

B: Brown, Butts, Frampton
HB: Jones, Doedee, Smith
C: Dawson, Laird, Sholl
HF: McHenry, Himmelberg, Sloane
F: Thilthorpe, Walker, Rachele

R: O'Brien, Keays, Crouch
I: Berry, Murphy, Gollant, Schoenberg
Sub: Hately
Emergency: Hately, Milera, Rowe

In: Berry, Thilthorpe
Out: Rowe, Hinge

Hinge will miss this week due to injury allowing Berry to come in and Rowe makes way for Thilthorpe.

Himmelberg is genuinely starting to look dangerous up forward and with Thilthorpe and Walker, it will stretch the defence. Rowe unlucky but Thilthorpe genuinely will increase our scoring potential.
Why would they replace a medium running defender with another small inside Mid,
If anyone replacing Hinge it will be Hamill. or Andrew McPherson if he gets up.

As I see people are wasting their time talking about him being Dropped it not going to happen and to be honest it getting repetitive. While he was not in the best there are several others that should be dropped before him.

You do realise this a football discussion forum where we give our views...

If you want to just take the views of newspapers, then go for it...

Have a good read every week in the changes,
I do.

People give their opinions... including myself.

What's your issue?

You don't like them or they are not what the club would do.

If you don't like people giving their own opinions, why are you on a football discussion forum?

I have no problem with opinions like A holes we all have one.
Just like I doubt Crouch will be dropped so we are all wasting our time writing about it.

You have no problem with opinions.... but you do if you think they are waste of time.

Your post is contradictory!

What on earth is this fascination with McAsey? The lad has played two good games in the last year and a half. If you're looking for key defenders, go back to Murray at this point in time.

Not so much a fascination with Mcasey more a Billy is not the answer and lets get someone else in, if Murray is doing KPD better in the SANFL lets get him in again.

I severely doubt relegating a highly paid Captain to permanent medi-sub is a decision the Club would find palatable.

More palatable then what they should do which is relegate him to the reserves for the rest of the year.

No, it not contradictory its an opinion
No, it was a contradictory statement.

Seems to struggle to understand the difference between a statement & opinion.

Frampton does look quite slow as a defender and lacks aggression that he was talked up as having. That being said, his ability to run it the other way has been pretty solid - obviously not the primary reason he's in that role but he has done decent things when ball is in hand.

Also really hope O'Brien gets dropped, he's a liability in the ruck, offers nothing when he gets the ball and doesn't take the intercept marks that helped win him the B&F. At least with Strachan he seems to compete better in the ruck and with ball in hand - even if he's in that similar build of looking big, slow without really using his size.
