You got to think long term. Will Tabs be in a premiership side? No he won't so we have two two options, we either develop a second KPF to backup Amiss or we trade one in. I would rather find out sooner rather than later if Treacy is going to make it or not. I'm not saying now but later during the season I would love to see him get a patch of games.
C'mon man! Tabs will ABSOLUTELY be in a Premiership side, the one that wins it at the end of this year, 2023. Wise up! ;)

Problem with Henry is that he probably thinks he is better than he is. Trying to evade and is one of those players that always seem to have so much time. Unfortunately he is no rioli.

Taberner has to play for me. Takes the best defender, which is something I wouldn't trust Amiss or Jackson with at this stage. Hurn was playing on Jackson yesterday, 13cm height difference between the two, that doesn't happen if Taberner isn't there. As for other changes, I was all in on Hughes to the backline replacing Chappy and Johnson coming in to the 22 - but with the Crows' small forwards Walker has to come in.

As many have said, if Fyfe is fit I don't know what we'll do. I love the man, but trying to force him in to the team somewhat unbalances things. IMO the player that makes the most sense for him to come in for is O'Meara, because of the role. I don't think Fyfe can be our number one forward, which would mean he comes in for Taberner, and I think if we bring him in for anyone else we will be too tall and slow in the forward line (I don't want JOM dropped FWIW, just think that role is the only one that Fyfe could play that wouldn't upset the balance of our team).

If not this week, then the week after vs. Gold Coast, Erasmus should be coming in.
With another think about this since last night, In: Fyfe, Walker, and Johnson into starting line up.
Out: Wilson, Hughes, Chapman

Erasmus Sub.

Henry and Tabs have one more credit to spend as WAFL is this week and their replacements will be staking their claim. I wonder if Henry doesn't find form, that Sturt comes in for him and they shift roles to accommodate.

2 goals per game
? He's kicked 1.0 from 3 games this year. He'd have to kick 7 next week to get that average up to 2 a game.

I can see the merit in keeping him in the team. His work up the ground in the 1st quarter was very good. I certainly won't be surprised if he holds his spot. But, it won't be because of his goal kicking.

Anyone that thinks hes getting dropped just needs to listen to the 30 second snippet of JLs presser to understand that this is absolutely not happening.

The eagles were bloody gutsy in the derby and would have won admirers (including me) but the WA media with their “brave kids” and “unlucky injuries “bullshit is hilarious. When your team has 5 or 6 injury prone older players, it’s probably going to come back and bite you at some point. As for their kids, they should have culled their list and hit the draft way earlier. Allen is a star and Ginbey looks like a ripper, but chesser and Hewitt are unknowns at this stage. Also, why the hell did they give new deals to Nic Nat and Shuey? (Its the kind of piss poor list management that we would normally do)

You need a bigger sample size than 3 games.

My take on Henry. He should have ended up on 3 goals. He was next to Walters for our first. He missed some easy ones, and he was open for another couple in which he was ignored. So his positioning is encouraging. His tackling and pressure was excellent. He also offers a bit more of a dynamic playing style which we have lacked. He has improved his capacity to work hard.
However, his awareness was bad. He made some bad clangers, with both decisions and execution. I am unsure, part of me wants him in for the potential upside, and excitement factor. I completely understand for him to be relegated. He needs to get involved in the play more as he does go missing.
I am sitting on the fence.

Not even gonna bother with Sturt in my inclusions as the coaches have written him off imo

Walker for Chapman - injured and for Rankine
Johnson for Henry - swap roles, Henry to sub or some form at peel
Fyfe for amiss if he is ready, don't necessarily agree with this it's more a prediction of what will happen

On the actual game, Adelaides defence is bad, like worst in league bad, but their forwardline is like best in league good. It will come down to the midfield and whoever wins the most clearances wins the game IMO. From preseason, I back Darcy to obliterate ROB and I think Switta is going to be important. Unlike WC, they wont be just trying to shark Darcy so hopefully it allows for some better / cleaner clearances

6 day break for us.
Both sides are inaccurate, who kicks straight will help.

Fogarty injured plus walker looked sore will help.

Can't let the ball hit the ground too much or we will struggle.

Aish to Dawson hopefully.
