One of govs greatest strengths is his reading of the play, hard to use that as an advantage when your rucking, plus I fear him getting injured going into contests undersized.
Yah, definitely not worth risking him far too valuable around the ground and uninjured probably better off with playing two spuds. :c

Fraser's best football for us was when he filled in for Darling. Quite possibly better than anything he has served up at EP before or since too.

Very unfortunate for him if he misses the last chance saloon with suspension

Is he definitely suspended?

Only real tough campaigners repeat "Jetta is soft, Jetta is soft, pea heart"... ad nauseum over and over.

His role isn't to be tough, it isn't to win contested ball, it's to balance the turtle brigade of Priddis, Mitchell, Sheed, Hutchings, Redden and Marsden out. If you're going to criticize him then do it properly and question his kicking, or his lack of run as those things actually are his job.

Clearly people still need this explained to them each and every ****ing week. It's giving me an aneurysm.

Also, **** you. I'll **** everyone on here.

I'm sure I read yesterday in an article that some of the other fringe Eagle players were upset that Jetta keeps getting a game, will see if I can find the article

Favourable selection treatment for the inconsistent recruit is understood to have generated internal sarcasm from among some other West Coast players on the verge of selection call-ups and biding time in the reserves.""

lol which West Coast players are "on the verge of selection"? As far as I was aware, apart from Sheed and Watson, they are all under performing in the WAFL.

Read the byline.

When he says "it is understood that..." he means "I'm guessing that...".

In the same way he "understood" that Kennedy was havaing season endin shoulder surgery halfway through the year he won his first Coleman.

Schofield and Butts are the two most senior guys stuck in the WAFL and they love Jetta based on the way they talk about him on the podcast.

Fraser has to be upgraded right? Hope it doesn't come to that

We've got room to upgrade someone for Lycett. After that we'd need to put someone on the LTI (maybe Rioli if his layoff gets any longer) or wait til midseason.

Watson should be the first upgraded based on form.

Yep.

But McInnes might need to be upgraded based on necessity.

Not sure if we can put Petrie back on the rookie list and promote someone else now that he's a got a long-term injury of his own. Logic would suggest we could, but logic rarely has anything to do with it.

I appreciate you attaching the link but reading that was just fkd. I seriously can't read what he writes. What the hell is this:

"Jetta managed just 14 possessions and only four of those after half-time when heavy rain set in as an appreciably harder Tigers seized imposing control around the ball with a tougher assault on contests and West Coast surrendered a seven-point lead from the long break".

What was the subject again?

It is actually a chore to read that!

Means he only got 4 possessions after halftime , are you happy with this ? or just blame the writer for confusing you ..

I really hope we don't play Darling injured.

Out Darling, Hill, Redden

In MacKenzie, Sheed, Butler

Play McGovern forward. EMac on Buddy and play Nelson in the mid field rotations and rest down back.

Last chance for Jetta to show some intent. No more soft efforts.

Darling has kicked 5 goals for the year. Hill has kicked 4.

Cripps has kicked 5 goals, averaged more disposals and more tackles than both of them. He also hasn't thrown his head back like he's been shot.

I don't think Cripps deserves the blowtorch.
Why doesn't Simmo instruct Darling to get that bad habit out of his game. Read the riot act to him. "You play my way, or there's the highway".

Yes and no. I mean you make a fair enough point but at the end of the day we need outside mids that are actually good and aren't so one dimensional.

I agree with you in that he probably shouldn't be dropped because we need his skillset to offset the one-paced nature of the rest of our mids, but I don't think you can wholly excuse his deficiencies purely because it's 'not his job' - in my view we need to chase outside mids that have at least passable contested games.
