You would think Sheed is coming back in. Who will go out?

Like the sound of that. I think we should also give Watson a game, at the expense of one of your bench players.IN: Schofield, Sheed
OUT: Vardy/Giles, Hutchings
Hurn Barrass Shep
Wellingham Schofield Yeo
Jetta Priddis Gaff
Darling McGovern Cripps
Hill Kennedy Lecras
Vardy/Giles Shuey Mitchell
Sheed, Redden, Nelson, Masten
Think you hit the nail on the head hereSee, we've actually done pretty well to make up for the loss of NN's rucking - those two have been decent in that respect. What has happened, though, is that the whole midfield looks slow without him. I kept thinking to myself on the weekend that we forgot just how fast the bloke is - we are struggling for the contrast he offers when running through the midfield (especially when the ball is in the hands of the opposition and the implied pressure he brings).
I think Vardy and Giles have both been good relative to what's expected of them. Same can't be said for a fair few others.
Everyone keeps talking about Watson like he's some kid, he's turning 22 in September and this will be his third season at the mens level in the WAFL (with a game in 2013 & 2014 in the reserves). He's not going to get killed out there, he'll be fine. With respect guys, perhaps get the AFL game and let out some of that coaching creativity through it because some calls changes are just silly.
Sydney is 0-3 and hasn't been playing the best footy but they haven't exactly been Hawks-like in their fall. What we'll get is a pretty full on effort as they know 0-4 will pretty much write their season off.
To that mix you guys are suggesting some pretty big structural changes. Watson to HFF?? He has trained and played mostly, if not all, in the defensive flanker role. Has been great from all accounts with what sounds like increased confidence in himself and that role and now you just take him out and plonk him in the forward line and expect him to just turn his 'X-Factor' into something. Come on. He'd get killed out there. If not by his defender by JK or one of the other forwards as he got in their way.
Wellinghamn
/Nelson to the middle. Just like that? For a full game? Don't think they may struggle a bit to keep up?
Bring in Mutimer/Duggan and run them through the middle. Just like that?
I mean, by themselves all these suggestions have some merit (except maybe the Watson to HFF one).
But I just don't think you can make so many changes to your team/structure and hope to have any kind of cohesion. Not agaisnt Sydney. Not in the mood they'll be in.

Schofield in for Darling, McGovern goes to CHF.There is no way Mcinnes or Lamb could replace Darling even at his lowest.
No way is Venables ready to play at AFL standard yet - he admitted he is still building up his fitness and only played 80% for EP at the weekend. Maybe in a few weeks but not ready just yet.Midfielder Dom Sheed put the disappointment of being axed behind him, amassing a game-high 37 disposals, eight tackles, seven inside 50s and kicking a goal in East Perth's 36-point loss.
Defender Eric Mackenzie (21 possessions) remained composed down back by taking several intercept marks, while draftee Daniel Venables (13 possessions, two goals) continued to impress in his second WAFL appearance.
I def think Daniel Venables & Dom Sheed need to be in. Give them a go they will go better than Giles and Hutch.
Darling is good for a couple of goals per game and Karl Langdon said he was involved in about 10 scoring involvements. Think we are all too ready to shoot Darling down. Our scoring opportunities could dry up without Darling in the side?Schofield in for Darling, McGovern goes to CHF.
I meant specifically playing him out of position on the HFF when he has trained and played on a defensive flank/pocket. I am a huge fan of this kid and hope he gets a crack sooner rather than later but I want him to have every opportunity to succeed when called up.Everyone keeps talking about Watson like he's some kid, he's turning 22 in September and this will be his third season at the mens level in the WAFL (with a game in 2013 & 2014 in the reserves). I reckon he'd do alright, I'd consider playing him on the wing to be honestI meant specifically playing him out of position on the HFF when he has trained and played on a defensive flank/pocket. Chance that Darling is out injured anyway, but I think McGovern could easily be a 2 or 3 goal a game forward. Plus he's not going to drop as many chest marks.Darling is good for a couple of goals per game and Karl Langdon said he was involved in about 10 scoring involvements. Think we are all too ready to shoot Darling down. Our scoring opportunities could dry up without Darling in the side?
Sorry, I couldn't read all of your post, I was too busy wildly flinging my head backOr squib, look for frees etc
Sorry JD, its true.

Hill was one of our best against StK. Agree on Cripps thoughAs much as I hate it when Darling does those things, I'm surprised people are talking about dropping him while giving Cripps and Hill a free pass. Both have done virtually nothing in three games so far (and kicked fewer goals than Darling)
Read all of this thread and their is a lot of panicked thoughts going on...Look campaigners, even with my sponsors hat off, Jetta has two weapons, elite kick and serious speed. Today he showed the elite kick side and I feel that it is enough to keep his spot.
We can't play like 6 inside mids and Jetta is essential for balance.
I know you all hate his apparent lack of effort but in my eyes he tried his heart out by making runs.
I am certain he can make an impact and even though he didn't take opportunities today which could have won us the game, he will be a game winner in the future, trust me.
We really can't afford to drop 2 of our only quick players from this current lineup.Sheed for Jetta
Schoey or Emac for Nelson
And find a way to work Watson into the mix
Yep Cripps has been barely noticeable.
Stick DV in there, give the kid a crack against a lower team at home* if Cripps keeps his Harry Potter act up.
