You have nearly listed everything that was evident in his first year of afl. Disposal isn't terrible either.

Well perhaps i watch a different game.
At some point players grow to a standard and father time catches up,
The best example i can use would be Alan Border in cricket he struggled in his last year or so.
And i am not knocking Pendles i just see the time is coming.

That kick into the corridor brought back far too many memories. IDK why he does it to himself/ us. Confusing ambition with talent is something he should have learnt from long ago.
It least it was only a shank, rather than what he used to do - telegraph it, wait until the bloke is covered and then shank it at him. It's progress.

I agree that the time is coming. As a clearance mid i think it may have even arrived, however, i think he can extend his career for couple of years as a high quality linking wingman.

For this game:

In Greenwood and Beams
Out Mayne and Brown

Greenwood to Neale.
Pendles to the wing, Beams, DeGoey, Greenwood and Adams to do centre clearances, Pendles and Treloar to play more wing. Just need to be tougher at the coal face.
Totally agree with moving Trealor onto a wing, free him up and let him run and carry. Like to see Pendles play the other wing in more of a defensive role. Where does that leave Phillips?

Call out all of our champions then?

He’s not protected at all but to say he’s on thin ice is laughable.

Not calling out anyone this is just my point of view,
Our mids seem to get bullied due to there lack of size!
Is that a fair and well balanced comment?

They have been underperforming I agree but it’s not due to lack of size. Workrate and determination are the words that come to my mind first. I’m not giving up on them just yet because I still think this midfield can take us deep into September they just have to work harder. Only early days.

Good enough for you, not quite good enough for the AFL.

Last year was last year. If we're going to reward past form right now, maybe Wells should be a walk up start too?
Wells is in an entirely different situation to Sier.

Soups I admire Pendles and always have,
You mention size and no offense look at West Coast and there mids compared to us there huge.
I am not giving up on the pies nor our Captain I just feel he can be used better perhaps the wing.

Perhaps as a high half forward? I want to inject some pace on the wing (hopefully WHE when he returns).

High half forwards are practically another midfielder anyway except its in general play and taking less centre bounces.

You have no clue mate. Get over the crush and have some common sense about how selection works.
Selection works by picking best 22 players, Sier is in the best 22. The one with no clue is you.

Differing opinions are most welcome.
Leave the insults out please.
After all, most of just want what's best for our team.
Hahahaha...
Best laugh I’ve had for months!!
Talk about righteous!
Differing opinions are normally shot down by idiots supported by mods.
Just the way it is.

Selection is secondary to game plan. Enough of the defensive possession until an opening presents that worked well against the tiggers and more of the fast movement to what should be a lethal forward line. Back the skills.

The AFL website is going with 28 possessions and 6 tackles to Sier in that VFL game. Not bad given he was heavily rotated all game.

Play Brayden Sier
28 touches and 6 tackles in the VFL game.
After watching Brisbane today they’re super reliant on Neale at clearance and stoppages and Essendon took this away from them or at least nullified.
The rest of their mids are still suspect as a collective.
