Smith, Aish, Langdon, Phillips aren’t AFL standard players. Crisp, Thomas, Dunn & Reid are barely AFL standard and Mason Cox possibly played the worst game I’ve ever seen from an AFL player. He’s barely EDFL standard and he gets a game for Collingwood. Unfortunately we can’t drop them all.

Our skill level is appalling and our game plan is almost as bad as our skills. Doesn’t matter who we bring in, we’re going absolutely no where this season and as long as we have Buckley as coach.

Crocker was fine, had a Crack
Sure, but he plays forward like Fasolo and Elliott. In reality, those guys will probably miss the first month and Crocker will have no problem keeping his spot, we’ll be out of finals contention by midseason but have a few spirited wins in the final half-dozen games to make us all wonder what could have been.

In: Mihocek, De Goey, Fasolo
Out: Cox, Smith, Crocker (inj.)

Play Mihocek back and move Moore forward, Play De Goey Half-Forward,
And play Cox in the f**king bush...

So many gap fillers in our team. Moore, Howe, Smith, Crisp, Reid, Maynard, all playing out of position. Can't expect much different...

A lot of names being thrown around as likely outs and all are in contention. BUT, not one of them was close to being as bad as Varcoe.

Literally contributed nothing. Horrible performance, and I didn't see any kind of meaningful effort.

Will not be dropped, but if we were serious he would not get a look in for next week. Langdon, Phillips, Smith, etc were poor, fine. Smith is one of the worst we've had in a long time. However, none is an experienced campaigner like Travis.

Wow, basic skill errors, fumbling, numbers at the ball all let us down. We butchered marks, hand balls, kicks, goals, you name it and we butchered it. They had more numbers at the ball for the first three quarters and probably let their foot of the peddle in the last.

Trevor - worked hard but let himself down a bit with his disposal.

Cox - booked himself a date with the tribunal. Couldn't catch a cold tonight. Will end up in the VFL for a couple of weeks.

Moore - looked good in defence early but looked better forward late.

Adams - below par for his standards.

Sidebottom - Probably our best player.

Peddles - classy without dominating.

WHE - unfortunately very quiet. Should be in the group below.

Crisp/Thomas/Langdon/Maynard/Varcoe/Phillips - This group of players performed well below afl standards.

Aish/Smith - quiet first half, influenced the game in the second half when it opened up and fitness became a factor.

Stephenson - Solid start to his AFL career.

Murray - unfortunately was one of our better performers tonight.

Reid - Solid but needs help.

Croker - Secured his spot for another round.

Dunn - Vanilla, does barely enough.

Grundy - Solid.

There is a fundamental problem with the list, our middle age players seem to lack the necessary skills and speed to drive this club to the next level. They perform admirably but fall short when it counts time and time again. Hawthorn are not a good side!

Awful reviews - did you watch the game?

Reid, was not solid. Pendlebury, was not classy. Grundy, was not solid. Treloar, did not work hard.

**** me.

Out: Smith, Cox, Crocker (Inj?)
In: Fas, Wells, Mihocek
Need Moore up forward. Not going to win too many games with that forward line.

I'd bring in Brown, Sier and Fasolo for Cox, Smith and Crocker (no defensive pressure). And I do a complete restructure. Badly need a high powered forward line or we are a serious chance of completing crumbling as a club. We are terrible to watch.

Murray, Reid, Maynard
Langdon, Dunn, Pendles
Phillips, Sidebottom, Crisp
Howe, Moore, Varcoe
Fasolo, Hoskin Elliott, Brown
Grundy, Treloar, Adams

Sier, Aish, Thomas, Stephenson.

Out: Smith, Cox, Langdon
In: Don't really care, just get those three out. Perhaps Fasolo, Shazza, Broomhead. Move Moore forward and have him spend a small percentage of gametime in the ruck.

I repeat:
Out: Smith, Cox, Langdon

Could drop more but wholesale changes are both unrealistic and probably detrimental overall.
Crisp, Aish and Phillips are skating on thin ice.

Adams would be close to being dropped he had an awful game.

Mihocek comes in. Id consider debuting mclarty in the coming weeks also.. Cox out indefinitely until he can learn to mark.the ball.

Sidebottom and possibly Dunn aside, who wasn't ordinary?

Crocker was fine, had a Crack

Yep, was likely our most effective forward. Has a crack, did a few good things. Sadly, was virtually unsighted for much of the game.

Aish has to go
Bring in Broomhead
Cox out, Moore back up forward.
Mihocek down back.
Smith out Sier in.
