I don't think Rioli will play sub, most word has been they are seeing if he is ready. If he is he plays from the start. If he can't run a game out then he is not in. That is the general consensus on what people have heard around the traps. Apparently been training well and really amped it up today.

He does not tend to cop a tag, he is a genuine 3rd tall so he often gets the third tall defender. Players have tried to rough him up but with minimal result. He doesn't really get into it so I think it ends up petering out.

No offence to Jonas but Breust cops the oppositions best defensive tagger every week, has done all year pretty much. He is working through them OK but it is a way that teams have identified to blunt our attacking options. If Rioli gets up that changes things in a BIG way. If he doesn't then nothing changes and we are still the best attacking team in the comp, and there in lies the beauty of our forward structure.

As I said in your other thread, I am bullish about our chances but for, what I see as, valid reasons. Saying that, you guys knocking us off would not be the worlds biggest surprise as you guys are a genuine contender. I love what you guys bring to the table so, whilst I hope we win and win well, if we do lose to you I hope you go all the way against whoever makes it through between Sydney and North.

i would be quite worried if Rioli does play an entire game i don't think we can bring in Impey just in case he does start and then it's just team defence to cover him. Although the Gunston 3rd tall is interesting because of the way our defence works. We have 3 main defenders - Carlile the gorilla full back who takes Hawkins/Cloke like players, Trengove the lanky aerial one who mostly takes the tallest forward and Hombsch who takes the most rounded forward ie Franklin generally at CHB. we don't really have a number 1, number 2 then number 3 defender. i would have a hard time seperating them but gunston doesn't necessarily get the third best defender.

Thats cool... But like the rest of the comp who aren't too familiar with Jonas, they'll know all about him this week.

Breust is quality, but he'll have a battle on his hands.

Can't wish you good luck because I seriously want my team to win but I wish you no bad luck either.

Let it be a luckless game:D where the best team wins. Have really enjoyed watching your team this year. I hope it's the last time I see them this year but wish you all the best going forward. You have an exciting time ahead.

i think it is very important that Hombsch goes to Gunston and Cornes on Mitchell and Ebert to Lewis, the rest can go head to head. Roughead very rarely stays in the forward line, he usually runs everywhere and gets his goals after a huge run coming down from the midfield.

No changes but... who should be take as emergencies/
Taking three smalls is a bit dumb, Mason Shaw should be on the plane - just in case a big fella gets ill or something.
Emerg; Shaw, Young and Impey

Yep no changes but those emergencies make sense

I rate Jonas, would love him at the Hawks. I was just saying Breust cops the leagues best small shut down defenders week in / week out so this won't be a surprise to him and how much it surprises the great unwashed out there won't effect the result or matchup either. I am confident Breust has done plenty on analysis on who he thinks he will get, he prepares well does Breust.

Jonas will play but looking at the emergency list Jarman would be the pick. Young is who I would like.

I would trust Pittard on Bruest if Jonas were not to get up and depending on the weather i would probably use Mitchell as sub. shocked there was no Aaron Young emrgency however.
