So you see the benefit in keeping gaff but still want him dropped? Classic.

It's an either/or choice. I am merely saying that if it is down to those two, I'd rather keep Gaff over Dalziell.

If it helps, I feel disgusted with myself for even considering the prospect of dropping Gaff. I'd hope the MC watched Dazzle's ball handling because while it was a good performance, it was sorely lacking in nous, especially for someone so fresh at that stage of the game. Gaff competed much harder as well IMO.

I just watched the game (couldn't watch it yesterday) and read this thread beforehand. Was expecting smith to be terrible, but I didn't think he was that bad. Brennan was worse, he brings very little to the team imo. Smith needs to learn to not panic and get better composure, will be much improved. His defensive pressure wasn't bad and I actually thought he was pretty good when the game was on the line.

Hutchy wasn't bad, I liked his tackling. Hard game to judge on...wouldn't mind if Kerr wasn't good to go for him to get one more game (but if kerr is good to go get em in)

As well as that... Brennan needs replacing, the rest depends on the injury list.

Hopefully a smarter/more composed defender like Butler or A. Selwood comes in to play on Thomas. I could see Brennan or Smith giving away too many free kicks against him.

Aside from that, I feel that us having played all three of Mackenzie, Glass and Brown together down back over the past three weeks to get some good cohesion going should see us primed to take on Norf's tall forward line.

Waters back would be great but I really didn't like the way he was moving in the Port game from memory. Kerr didn't look so great last week either, so hopefully those two will be one hundred percent if we decide to bring them back.

need to keep gaff, with rosa also very good linkman, teams who tag gaff make a huge mistake letting rosa link up.

knowing the end result Smith may not appear to be bad but watching the live game on sat when every wce supporters were rolling with the punchs his weaknesses stood out ..

Didn't realise that Naitanui was our whole forward line. I'd rather move him to the ruck then, he has a lot of potential there.

I thought emac was BOG followed by glass. Brown was also good, no idea why he was subbed. We needed Sinclair in with his pressure and ruck work, allowing players to rotate more.

Play sheppard in the back-line if need be to cover dropping these two. Hutchings didn't deserve to be dropped but somebody had to make way. I've wanted to drop dalziell for weeks but he just isn't letting me.
