Oakley Nichols...out,out and stay out.
JON had a hand in about 3 goals straight for us, his first disposal wasn't great, but he was pretty solid after that, will definitely keep his spot

Out - Bowden & Hyde
In - Hughes & Polo

There won't be massive changes after a win, Morton didn't do much either so he may make way for Edwards

IN: Polo
OUT: Hyde

Bowden will stay in the team but must be on thin ice and if he gets dropped again, it's probably for good. It's been a good career, but it looks like it might be time to go. McGuane is a trier and seems to get a lot of spoils. Leave him in there a while. Schultz is courageous but needs to make more of opportunities. JON was alright and should be given at least another 3 or 4 games in the seniors. Hyde is done.

Have you changed name sausage roll, or are you, (maybenextyear) just a moron all on your own
JON was quite servicable

Hyde and McGuane out
in any two of Hughes, Polo, Connors and Rance
Let Edwards avoid the road trip and bring him back at the "G"

Couldn't agree more on McGuanne. He has found his level and it is not very good. He is poor defensively and provides no run out of the backline. I think people here like hime cause he tries hard. His performances would be quite funny if it wasnt serious.

People may be happy that we won but we played a cr*p team, and would have lost against most other teams. We were carried by a few individuals so I would not call it a great team effort. Therefore the following changes.

In: Polo, Hughes, Edwards, Rance
Out: McGuanne, Hyde, Simmonds, Bowden.

Polak to play second ruck and Schultz to go back to CHB where he plays his best footy.

Would be hoping to bring in the likes of Casserly, Raines and Thursfield in the next couple of weeks.

Simmonds out? With Polak to play second ruck to Pattison? Now why on earth would you do that? Not to mention the other problems it would create with Polak having to take up ruck duties..

Out: Sanchez
Of course there's no way Sanchez will ever be dropped while TW is in charge.
What the hell did he do wrong? Are you harbouring a grudge?

For me:

OUT: JON(Just doesn't have it), Hyde and Bowden

IN: Edwards, Connors and Hughes.

Hyde for Polo is worth the gamble for Port, they don't have any really obvious matchup for Hyde as a tagger or a flanker. JON on Pearce, Polo on S Burgoyne rotating with White, Jacko to follow Chadley...beat the suitcase out of him wherever he goes and make him earn and rush every possession. Ditto for Morton as a forward tag on P Burgoyne.

Rance on Westhoff would be an intriguing matchup, but I doubt we'll see it this year.

I thought JON was okay today... started the 1st half well but went missing in the second. Probably didn't get much game time and although he made a few awarness errors, I think in a couple weeks he will settle down in the backline rotations. I thought it was really good to see Tambling in action today - maybe his best game for the club. Stood up more then any other RFC player in the last quater and beat the dangerous Davey/Wonermerii

OUT:
Hyde: Shouldn't have been bought back in, and even though he was, he couldn't make the most of his oppatuitny

Schultz/Bowden/McGuane: One of these players should make way for Rance. Schultz just doesn't have it up foward while McGuane struggled a bit today aswell. A poor game from Bowden may also see him dropped. I wouldn't be suprised if two of these three get dropped.

White: I love Whity and wouldn't mind if doesn't get dropped but he has struggled to find the pill since the Essendon game and a run in the magoos would do him good as he isn't getting a heap of gametime at AFL

IN:
Polo/Edwards: Polo didn't play this week while Edwards was one of Coburgs best. One of these should get the call up. Edwards could be useful considering its in SA, but Polo probably deserves it more

Hughes: The guy has kicked 10 goals in two weeks at Coburg. Plonk him up at fullfoward and see what he can do.

Rance: Without knowing how well he did this week, I would like to see him get a game.

OUT:
White: I love Whity and wouldn't mind if doesn't get dropped but he has struggled to find the pill since the Essendon game and a run in the magoos would do him good as he isn't getting a heap of gametime at AFL
NO WAY!

I don't know if you went to the match or not but White was great, his pressure is fantastic and his workrate off the ball is great too, he spurs the team on with his run too, sure he could do with more of the ball, but he is young, fast and exciting, keep him in, especially ahead of someone like Bowden.

Although I agree with your ins, just not that out.

That's not what i'm saying. I'm saying White doesn't get anymore then about 2/3rds gametime each week, and it might be useful for him to go back to Coburg where he can play 90% and pick up 25 touches. It would a good confidence builder and it also allows us to rotate youngster through the team. Players like Jackson and JON weren't as good as White imo, however they need more time in the team to settle.

I know it probably will happen but how can Bowden be dropped over McMahon this week? The only reason can be for TW to again save face at the cost of the team, but hopefully the pressure to gets wins on the board will help him to see reason.

Bowden had more contested possessions, more tackles and was actually doing stuff when it mattered ie. in the danger part of the last quarter. And no Jordy was not playing a lock down role at that time.

Im not so sure on Hughes and Riewoldt in the one team just yet
They still have to develop a bit before they can hold down a KP
Its pretty much a must win game if the 8 is any chance
not sure its time to go with something that is relatively untried
yet i do agree

out - schulz hyde In - Hughes and _______ is the most likely option

if you throw bowden forward and play rance back its a risk
if you bring in hughes and play him forward keep bowden back its a risk
if you throw polak forward and play riewoldt back its a risk

i think all these dramas prove how important will thursfield is

Hes our full back and he plays at full back

Not sure dropping a kid after a good game is a confidence booster

INS:
Hughes - Has earned it through consistency.
Polo - Has been having a real crack of late and HAS to be a better option than Hyde.
Rance - Reasonable form from accounts, good size and provides a lot of run, need to get games into this bloke ahead of McGuane imo.

OUTS:
Polak - Just doesn't get involved enough, looks very cumbersome at the moment.
Hyde - Playing awfully, just isn't warranting his place in the side.
McGuane - Does a passable job of negating his opponent (which I know is his job) but that's it.

JON tried hard, but made some poor decisions, will he get another crack?
I reckon Shultz did some good things yesty, showed courage, just didn't finish off his good work, (kicked 3 points i think)
Sanchez was not good at all, but he'll never be dropped.
Bowden was poor yesty, but, i think keep him in, one more chance.

Anyone commenting that JON should get dropped obviously watched the game in the comfort of their loungerooms and didn't actually bother going to the game. Covered an amazing amount of territory. Is starting to put himself in the right places and get to contests. Thought his decision making was reasonable last night and his disposal has improved. No way known he be dropped after one game. Did enough to keep his spot and must stay there for five more weeks at least to see if he can take the next step.

Looked ALOT more comfortable out there last night, didn't have that 'OH SHIT OH SHIT OH SHIT' look about him when he got the ball. With a bit more confidence I'm convinced he'll come on in leaps and bounds. :thumbsu:

Yeah defiantly wasn't terrible, and would be unlucky not to get another game. He did look lost a lot though when the other team had the ball. But that is to be expected just coming into the lineup. Thursfield out didn't help things in that regards either as it meant the team wasn't as structured and more defensive effort from all was required.

Simmonds was terrible, no idea how he was the Vic ruckman. He may get need a weeks break.

I feel second ruckman is Polaks best position since he is not a key forward/back.
