How can you say FitZ for Gawn is pointless. Fitz is pointless. At least Gawn doesn't look like a stunned mullet everytime he gets the ball
Don't forget that Sylvia comes back from suspension, so that's one positive. Will be a very handy inclusion.
Fine with Fitzy getting another run but he was pretty poor today. Every time he has been called up to the seniors he has looked well and truly out of his depth. His form in the VFL means he deserves another chance but time is ticking.
Not every time. Kicked 2 in Round 23 last year.
Stop using this 2 goal, 7 possession performance in a meaningless game against Freo as some bastion for your man love for Fitzpatrick. He deserved his chance this week, and with his form in the VFL at least deserves another game, but he not done anything at all when brought into the senior side. If he had kicked 2 goals, had 18 posessions and 8 marks then I'd say he has shown something... but he hasn't yet.
Clisby is a rookie. We elevated Magner.
I'm curious to know where Taggert is at though.

He's played 4 games. That's simply not a sample size for a 200cm player. Especially when he's been diagnosed with type 1 in between the first two and the last two. Just needs a consistent go.
And I didn't argue that point. Gawn is taller yet has shown much more than Fitzpatrick and he has come back from two knee recos and a bad hamstring tear.
Agree he deserves another crack but has look well out of his depth so far.
So we agree on the same point. I just don't think he looked out of his depth last year. I love Maximum, but he hasn't shown a whole lot more.
I've said it 4 times now - he deserves at least another week in the seniors. So yes, on that point we agree.
And Gawn has shown more. Better mark for one. Better ruckman, although that is his natural position. And he has shown the ability to be more involved in the game effort and tackle wise.
Better mark, 100%. Better ruck man, I'm actually not sure. He's been struggling, but he hasn't been able to do much due to his knees so he should improve. I just can't agree that he shows more in the contest at ground level, that's an area where they comparatively excel next to other young big players.
He is a better ruckman. I think you've lost a bit of that view after he had a quiet few games, but his first few were excellent and his tap work was terrific. To me he does show more in the contest at ground level - the only knock on Gawn is he is slower than Fitzpatrick, but I've seen him do more around a contest.
