Bail out, Sylvia in. If Jones is injured or needs a rest, straight switch for Magner. No more wholesale changes.

I've seen one person drop McKenzie and he wasn't even a Melbourne supporter, get your heads out of your asses fellas, McKenzie is shit.

Have to maintain the Ranga quota. How did Blease go in the VFL?

Fitzpatrick is the most unco looking player I've ever seen play the game. He may be a good VFL player but after 5 years on our list there is nothing to show that he is AFL standard.

Magner in for McKenzie
Blease in for Bail
Gawn in for Jamar. I'd stick with a Gawn/Fitz/Pedo ruck threesome. Unfortunately for Jamar, the game has passed him by and I feel there's no room in the modern game for the strong ruckman who wins taps and does bugger all around the rest of the ground. The modern game demands that the ruckman become another midfielder.
Give Matty Jones a rest and bring back Col Sylvia.

I'm glad we have an 8 day break and a bye the following week. Both Matt Jones and Evans are important but both look like they could really do with a rest. Frawley and Nate Jones both copped knocks today too so that'll help more.

I'm don't care much for next week, i'm more interested in looking at our team for a red hot go at the Saints. We can certainly beat them.

OUT: Bail, McKenzie
IN: Sylvia, Magner

Tom McDonald was playing like shit before he got injured, so hive him 2 weeks at Casey and aim for the Saints game.

You can probably add Frawley to the outs - AFL site reporting he is having scans on his hammy. Hopefully not too bad and he is back after the bye.

McDonald in if Frawley doesn't get up. But knowing Neeld, he'll replace Chip with

Tom Gillies.

I was waiting for you to say James Sellar then.... didn't think it could get worse... ;)

Not quite sure what McKenzie offers these days. Can anyone show me some stats on who he has tagged this year? If he's being kept in the team because he's a leader, well that's crap... he's probably played 50-odd games and even in our team isn't much of a leader. Magner please.

Hasn't been at his best this year but we need the harder players, plus he had 20 possies today abd layed 7 tackles. Would rather drop Bail and Evans and bring in Sylvia and Magner

Sounds reasonable but I must admit, the long term implications for Jordie are worrying.

Not enough strings to his footy bow and he's had more than enough time to add them. Not delist material at this stage but has to improve markedly.

I see Jordie as a very good player as a back up, the good sides have experienced players to bring in when a best 22 player goes down, he's no superstar but he works hard.

Take your ******ed coloured glasses show some fight. Pederson was good. Deal with it.

What am I dealing with? He had a good first half, but probably won 0 contests all game. Setting aside the fact that Tom McDonald is our first choice CHB and should be in this week after returning from injury, Collingwood have Cloke and one of Lynch/Paine/Witts up forward. I'd back in Frawley and Garland to take them on.

If you insist on playing Frawley, Garland, McDonald and Pedo - then I'll stop seeing you as a staunch Neeld supporter and start to wonder whether you're actually him.

Again? This is probably the biggest fallacy currently going on around these parts. Jamar may not be what he was a few years ago, but he is still a very good tap ruckman (something which Gawn currently is not excelling at).Another 35 hit outs today against the runners up no less.

He's also markedly improving his attack on the ball around the ground and is finally learning how to mark it out of a kick in - something only he, Clarky and Dawes have proven they can do. We (myself included) were all calling for him to have a spell early in the year, but Spencer's efforts simply proved in my mind that he will be our first ruck throughout the year and probably into next year too.

Pedersen didn't play ruck once today, FWIW. Only Jamar and Fitzpatrick.

We really can't afford to discard another 100 game + Melbourne bloke either.

Good. So we'll reevaluate at the end of next season when he's played 5 years.

I'm not sure how often is has to be shown that 200cm+ types, if they ever succeed, rarely do it in their first 5 or 6 years in the system.

He's been a regular starter for years now. So if what you're saying is fair (and I think it is) then he's been getting a gig on being an honest toiler for too long. He shouldn't be best 22 but is a good indicator of where our list is at.

I agree at best he is depth but irrespective you'd think that after all this time he'd be a more accomplished footballer than what he is. To think the Crows tried to entice him, he obviously had something but has been stagnant.

Disappointing.

They usually aren't as bad as Fitzpatrick though, with Clark, Dawes, Pederson, Sellar and Hogan locked for next year with Watts and Gawn top priority to be re-signed Fitz is going to need dramatic improvement to be around next year.

Hard to disagree, but he really does need a few consecutive weeks in the side. He deserves it, you can't do much more at VFL level.
