Why why why are people wanting to persist with Sellar. A absolute Dud, shoud not be called upon again along with Gilles and Pederson, done dusted kaput.

Give all the games to Gawn and Fitzy along with Strauss Blease Kent and co who need to be backed in with a number of games in a row and we just live with it. David Parkin finally found the answer to getting the best from Fraser Brown, stop dropping him and dragging him every time the kid made mistakes. We can all live with the kids and find out what they learn and how they change the ways they go about it. Old dogs learn nothing and we persist with blokes who have failed elsewhere. Flush them down the toilet.

Give some other kid a go at full back, give Frawley a run around HBF, put Blease in a back pocket where he has to defend first, his pace will help him beat most to the ball one on one, just get a fist in first, simple stuff. Manger must be there to help Jones for grunt but lacks a yard and we get exposed as so many teams have pace and most taller than us in midfield.

Persist with the kids and find out, absolute upside only. I for one couldn't see anymore than 3 to 4 wins tops this year.

The grand old flag will fly again. Take a look at several other teams, they may be winning a few games but they cannot win flag nor Certs for finals. Play the kids, pick up a couple of new recruits, couple on list take a few steps and we will be on the improve.

I'd much rather Sellar and Gillies weren't in the side either, but given Frawley's injury we don't have many other options. Tom McDonald is coming back from injury (and was playing pretty poorly before that anyway) and the only other option for FB is Troy Davis, who hasn't played a game yet and, while solid at VFL level, hasn't really done much to say he's earned a spot ahead of Sellar/Gillies who've also had some good games at Casey.

In. Whose turn is it this week?? I think it is Sellar, Byrnes maybe.

Out. Does it really matter? Frawley is injured with a 4 week hammy. but I would leave him at full back, because on one leg he is better than Sellar or Dunn.

Oh and a bag of witches hats this week would not go astray.

Last time we did things like these it was considered tanking??

I dont rate Fitz based on what I've seen at AFL level, but to be fair he has been on the list awhile and a proven VFL performer, so I'd be happy to give him 4 or 5 games in a row. He needs the backing of the coach for a month, that might give him the confidence to play his game. If he is still looking like a fish out of water after a few games in a row, then at least we know where he is at.

Fitzy to me more closely resembles a giraffe. With a normal neck he'd be two inches (5cm) shorter.
He's earned another game or two with his VFL performances. Probably he doesn't feel 'involved' at this stage.

Fitz for Gawn is literally pointless.

OUT: Blease, Strauss, Pedersen
IN: Magner, Viney(?)/Toumpas, McDonald

With Frawley out...

OUT: Bail, Pedersen, Frawley, Dunn
IN: Blease, Sylvia, McDonald, Sellar

All for balance, I don't think Pedo has the size or endurance to take Cloke. It has to be Sellar imo. Magner is in as an extra midfielder. McDonald to take 3rd tall, Garland stays at CHB where he plays his best football.

Pederson won't be dropped. Bail will be. TMac or Sellar will return

OUT: Bail, Frawley, Dunn
IN: Byrnes, Magner, TMac (Sellar)

I think Blease should come in and instead of bringing him back for 1 game then dropping him for a month, Bring him back and play him for 4 straight weeks and see what he has.

CRAP! I forgot about Blease!!!

Definitely bring him in instead of Byrnes.

All about defensive balance, in my opinion.

Pedersen's game wasn't close to outstanding, and whilst it would be harsh to drop him we need to consider whether he is capable of taking the first forward. Has he ever done it before? Especially a power forward like Travis Cloke?

Unless we want to give McDonald a week in the twos, it would be terrible to have 4 190cm+ players in defence, and that's before Neeld hits the panic button 5 minutes in and throws Watts behind the ball.

I understand that, but if TMac returns he will take Cloke leaving Pedo to take ****stick

I don't think McDonald has it in him to take Cloke, he's too much of a stick insect right now. We need a traditional FB figure and, this week, Sellar probably has to be it. Garland to Q, I'd hope. He did well on Roughead.

Agree with this... McDonald to regain some touch in the VFL this and next week hopefully. Pedersen should be able to manage Witts/Jolly if they play a resting ruck down there.

Seconded. Would like Magner back and to ditch Tapscott but prefer to try and not make too many changes two weeks in a row. Gawn and Magner for Fitz and McKenzie after the bye.

Aren't you forgetting the fact that he kept St Nick quiet last time they met. he could do the job on Cloke.

I liked seeing JMac last week, Thought he did well considering the lack of game time.

Completely different players, would rather see Sellar on Cloke (with some support from Garland and co).

Sellar to Cloke is probably our best bet.

Like others on here, I don't think Garland has the muscle to go one on one with Cloke - but he certainly has the spoiling ability.

I don't know if the Pies will be dumb enough to give Garland much opportunity to float off Lynch and be third man up, but that would be the ideal scenario.

Reasoning:
T Mcdonald is in the back becuase he is good
C Penderson is at LHB because he needs to get more involved with the footy.

also is the Toump likely to play?

Toumpas needs until at least the bye in the ressies to get some touch and confidence.

And there's no way Terlich is at CHB. Tmac or Garland.
