Simpson has confirmed that McGinnity will play.

And Brown will play. So will Sharrod.

So one of Nelson, Redden, Jetta and Duggan play. Think it will be Nelson or Redden.
If you are talking about that interview he had the other night he didn't really confirm it. He said yeah you would think you would keep your spot kicking 4 goals but we will have some selection issues.

Although there is this:

@6PRSportsToday: Adam Simpson on Patrick McGinnity: He'll definitely hold his place.

Will enjoy the melts if McGinnity makes a few customary errors that lead to NM goals and we lose by a small margin

Yeah but when we're old and grey we'll be able to say "I was there when one of the least skilled players of all time kicked 4 goals against one of the worst teams of all time. On a Thursday.".
So there's that.

I still remember that gimme goal he missed against Hawthorn that would have put us four goals up close to 3 qtr time last year H&A.
He's everyone's B&F now after last week though

Hill deserves to come back in but who we drop I'm not sure. Given its going to to be a contested batlle probbaly jetta. I'm sure McGinnity will be shit again this week but you can't drop a player off that. I also think hutch continues to hold his sport cause he is hitting the scoreboard. [/QUOTE]

Hmmm .... I think I found one of the missing "r's" Five Strings.

Did you watch the game or just check the dream team points afterwards?
Watched it twice. My opinion hasn't changed. Just don't go with group think and see things that aren't there.
The guy battled hard, did some niggle, did a few good things but I'm not raving about him. He's not going to get a rising star nom. Barrass is an obviously better player. If Nelson keeps at it he should become an okay player in time. He got 14 possessions ffs, everybody's calling for Jetta, Duggan and Redden's heads for that. Nelson's 14 possessions are nowhere near as effective as Jetta's 14.

14 touches in his first time playing in the middle at afl level. Also he was negating his opponent. In the short term simmo wouldnt care about his possession numbers as long as he negates his opponent.

That's because for the first three quarters his role was primarily to shut down Zaharakis which he did with aplomb, and was allowed more free reign in the midfield in the last, where he picked up 7 disposals. His versatility allowing him to play a lock down defender, his defensive mindset, and his toughness around the contest are things we currently lack in the midfield, and he's been fairly dominant in the WAFL when pushing through the guts. That's why people, including myself, would like to see him hold his spot. Also rewarding good form in the seconds is important.

Nelson showed more in last weeks game than all three of those other mids you named have shown all year, you don't know what you're talking about

I rather write off jettas season and give guys like redden, nelson, duggan and sheed ganes to find form. We dont have problems wity our wingmen but with our inside mids. Its one area we need to improve in of we want to go deep into septemeber.
