i'm only surprised that Gibson was/has not been given an oportunity?

think this game would have been right for him, i would of hoped this guy
would provide a bit of mongrel that we lack.

ins out frankly does'nt matter

i want to see commitment, passion, effort and the old red hot go....not last weeks crap...

Yep I want to see a red hot go this week too as well as every week thereafter. You know, a consistent effort like what the top sides are doing.

Probably too much to ask though?

Our boys made the NRL FS boys look like shortarses.

Re. selections this week, and the fabled 3 hour match review.........what we don't know is who was given the full hair drier treatment and told show that crap again and you're out!

A number of players are extremely lucky to evade the axe this week. I won't be at all surprised if an emergency or two makes the final lineup.

Seriously WTF is our team structure. Every week it changes.

We started the year with no CHB and now in Rd 8 we load up on defenders with one ruck and no CHF.

Bons putting in insurance policies for the gameplan.
No attacking midfielder, no attacking defender out one forward/ruck.
In a defender, a defensive midfielder a leading half forward.
If the gameplan gets exploited we are better prepared to withstand it.

Though if you think our kick ins were terrible theyll be pathetic this week.

This simply shows how far Bon is from establishing how he wants the side to play. We aren't just tinckering with the personell, we aren't even sure about the right structure. To me this says we're miles off from playing consistent footy.

Playing well, that's a pretty good side.
When you tinker with the way the team is named it settles down alright. Still appears a touch short up front.

That certainly looks better. Personally I would have left out Cam Delaney and brought in a marking forward.

Other than Petrie (who can be hit and miss at times as well) our forwards are not particularly strong overhead. Edwards probably has the best hands of the lot, but hes a midgit and really needs to get hit up on the lead.

Personally I like the setup as named (although that means little).

Petrie at CHF where he can just work up and down the ground, no doubt he will be the target of 90% of the kick ins .

Edwards out of the goal square.

Milky will hopefully lead hard up to create space, and then with his work rate might even be able to get on the end of a few when we go into counter attack mode.

You really only need one legit KPF these days. The rest of the key forwards tend to be there to create space or in some defensive capacity. Also with the way teams congest opposition forward lines, if they cant win the ball on the ground they generally struggle anyway like Hansen and Tarrant who had very little of the high ball directed at them and were left to fight for the scraps.

Hopefully Black will stay on the park and break into the seniors soon. He really has the all round game we are crying out for up there.

That does look good :thumbsu: Our best team for the year for mine.

Agree, especially against Port. Having multiple marking options up forward has worked brilliantly for WC. I think we have similar options to do likewise.

Still amuses me that CERTAIN posters only have an opinion and turn up on this board when we lose, and most of what they sprout is on the line of being trollworthy. Makes you think.

Well given we have lost a lot more games than we have won since our last premiership, It's not so surprising.

We warrant trolling at this stage - we are the biggest pretenders in the AFL.

Wins - 135
Losses - 142

A 1.62% losses to wins differential.

Why didn't Aaron Edwards play today?
