You can absolutely guarantee the Doc didn't make this call, but will be the one hung out to dry.
This reeks of Hinkley's and Davies' desperation.
I have vision of Hinkley throwing the doc under the bus.:$

THIS SHOULD TAKE EFFECT FROM TODAY AND NOT FROM SATURDAY NIGHT.

Need someone from the AFC to tweet the AFL on this.
Good point, it's 12 days from a failed test. Which was today.

This is 100% cheating... bringing the game into disrepute... complete disregard for player safety AFL rules... Anything where there is disregard for AFL rules shoudl be penalties... NOT FINES... PENALTIES!they are cheats
They still think they are the same club as if they were back in the 1980's and could get away with all sorts of things. They are a tadpole in an ocean now and need to be belted here

Agreed! They have literally said F U to the AFL and its rules. They took the law into their own hands.... You cant just break rules to benefit your club and your ladder position. This is what Port have done. They knew Crows game was big.. they knew Geelong game was big... so they broke rules to keep their backline stocks preserved at all costs... even the cost of their own player welfare! reminds me of the Varsity Blues movie where the big guy was put out there even after having oxygen on teh side lines... where the coach goes... 'Get out there... i need you for 1 more series hoss'. Win at all costs... no matter if riules are broken or players welfare is jeopardised.

Throw the book at them...

They need to be made example of.. because if they dont.. all clubs will do this because the port cheats failed to appropriately test.. others will too.. and there will be anarchy!

"In absence of the SCAT5 test occurring and out of an abundance of caution, the Port Adelaide Football Club has decided to enter Aliir into AFL Concussion protocols and he will be unable to participate, at a minimum, in the club's Round 21 match this week vs the Geelong Cats."

Should be "after an abundance of neglect".

Clearly the first of a negotiated outcome.

I just don't know how they thought they would get away with this one. Both cases. Almost more the migraines not concussion thing, thats straight up cheating after having plenty of time to think about it. Not to mention the health risks, they've not read the room, AFL wide, if they thought they were in the right here.

We all SAW it with our own two eyes. How ******* stupid can they be? B
For decades, Club Doctors have KNOWINGLY sent players back onto the field, that 15 min earlier, couldn't stand on their own 2 feet, without assistance

This stupidity of saying Doctors are professionals is laughable ......just look at all the legal actions against the medical profession ....on a wide range of illegal activities

Doctors are only human, like the rest of us ......they should never be put on a pedestal of righteousness

The real issue is, someone could die if this isn't stamped out hard
