Chris Dawes must play against Hawthorn.

I'd be delighted to see Dawes and Stanley get a run out this week.

Roids out

Rhyce out

both murder the ball and kill us

I'd also consider giving Leon another 'rest' given the injury he's carrying is obviously severly hampering his form

Send Jack back into defence as well

Fwd Line: Didak, T. Cloke, Dawes
Thomas, Fraser, Medhurst

resting rucks can rotate through the forward line

Just got back from Princes Park, was astounded by how good Chris Dawes played. Easily his best performance in a black and white jumper, in wet, muddy conditions, the following occurred;

20 + possesions

4-5 goals

15 + marks, 6-7 contested

4-5 goal assists

10 + forward hit outs

and some great forward tackles and pressure.

Other players were also impressive, Barham, McCarthy and Holland, but Dawes stood out. I know the opposition was weak (we won by 90 points), but his performance would not have been missed by MM who was there.

I'm not going to name anyone to get dropped from yesterday, but whatever happens, CHRIS DAWES MUST PLAY AGAINST HAWTHORN.

So much for this theory

The only thing I can possibly think of is the weather..

With the prediction of shocking weather, they have opted for maybe a smaller forward line set up.

I dunno, I am still pissed off that he & esp Stanley missed out. I was so looking forward to him debuting..

How Toovey can be in the side ahead of Stanley & McCarthy has got me F.U.C.K.E.D.

yeh but his great game against bendigo bombers was in the wet no?
Clutching at straws maybe...lol.
Keeping him as a secret weapon for the finals?
I'd love to finally see him at least pull on a senior jumper.

i think this thread or simliar ones have been doing the rounds for the past 6 or so weeks.
wouldn't you know it, Chris Dawes still hasn't been picked. i am one that believes he should be given a go but guess what...the coaching staff including MM just mustn't rate him. if they did rate him then he'd have been given a go by now surely....
our forward line has travis, then next tallest option would be??? didak and medhurst...hardly giants hey??
oops sorry i forgot John Anthony...the backman turned forward that has actually shown a thing or two up there...imagaine what he'll do when he's actually picked in his position??

On that subject, I havn't seen him play in defense, but no chance on Buddy??
I've not heard him suggested so I guess not.
