Shoulder, Jaw and Knees and the let downs he has had in the last 3 years just how much more will he go through?

Just looking at him after the game he seemed like others to be shattered and will he come out this week and tell us he is giving the game away?

Chris Grant and what he has done in the last 3 weeks is more then what Walls went through in 96 and is the heart and the soul of the club.

If he does decide he wants to give the game away please tell us this week so we can give you a true send of.

Agree, but i hope he goes on. Darcy said before the match, he and Granty can obviously see this team is going places and they want to be part of it. Please stay.

Can we also do that with say 2 or 3 women and Peter Street?

With extra payments allowing for the difficult birth.

And I'd like just one Bartlett Jr.
Re a Bartlett Junior. Will have to find a filly with 'child bearing hips' - the pup would be 15 kilos at poping time...

But Streeta's a sex god ain't he, should have women cueing up to birth his children. To be picked by The Tall One is a major honour i believe.

All Hail The Tall One.

p.s. What a great hip and shoulder and then tap on. Great man.

I'd like that as my screen saver - SOS must have gone crazy.
I've been sick all week and as such at home last night, the commentators were going as the quick kick came out:

"And they've kicked it to the wrong bloke. OOOOHHHHHH, what a bump by Street and tap on." - Then spent 30 seconds talking about how good he is. I know the commentators do it out of fun for them, but you can see why over time he has developed a sense of lack of confidence in his own ability.

But the PSLA will fix this right up.

All Hail The Tall One

The PSLA will need to do a great deal of strategic thinking over the summer months about the next steps in his development. Has Rocket been on the phone yet?
As well his media exposure will have to be managed as we can't have all these Jonnie-come-latelies jumping on a band wagon designed and made by the cognoscenti . I bet I've got the spelling wrong
All Hail The Tall One

Grantie always has been a champ in all ways, getting through the pain barrier or over emotional setbacks is quickly dealt with by him. Somewhere in the book written about our '93 season the author (Martin Flanagan??) asks Chris how long the hurt from a hit lasts and he replies only for a second. I'll bet he's still feeling yesterday's wounds and those he's carried for years but his mind will be clear about what he has to do next, the second the hit hurt for has passed.
He is a true champ, a very fine human being and someone who loves the club and its supporters in an almost old fashioned way. He is also an intelligent person so while we wonder and marvel about how much more he can take, he will know when the time is right to go and he gives no sign that he has got there yet. His form and his enjoyment are too great and we should never forget how much he loves playing.

Will Granty make his descion this week?

Because if we do not make finals then he MOST DEFIENITELY deserves a farewell retirement game and in that case will be making the dessicion whether he goes on or not this week..?

Re: Will Granty make his descion this week?

hopefully not dosnt look like his gonna say anything he didnt get injured during the match there is no roumers so..... hopefully no :)

Granty is amazing, I am in awe of what his body and mind can withstand. My heart is in my mouth almost every week when he goes down.

Unfortunately we've blown the budget with all the tape (Gia and Mitch aren't helping), sticking plaster, stitches, jabs, physio, staples, helmets, etc.

Granty was smiling for the hun photographer and no rumours flying around and darcy on 774 on the weekend saying both he and Granty know this team can play finals and both are really excited - hopefully the great mna will still be with us in 2006.

If we make finals this year, he would retire and go out playing in September.

if we don't... he'll go around next year. (just my opinion)

do we really want finals?

I am very confident Chris will play next year. heard an interview with him and he kept saying losing those finals still burns. He believes this team is going somewhere and if he is wanted by the Rodney he would love to play as long as his body holds up.

The problems with injury's to Turtle are not to bad really. His body is very strong still.
He had broken rib or ribs round 1 this year.. Accident dum rocca's knees. Both shoulders are a little bad but that was a hole pack diving in the middle of his back up at the SCG. But many forget how chris almost broke his arm againts the cows in his 300th game this could have done some damage to the shoulder also. As they say if you hurt your back on the left you feel pain on the right just like the stinger to the left.
But i belive that lose to the dee's hurt really deap. I could see Scooter West Bubba smith and turtle grant standing together and you could tell by there faces they have felt that disapoinment before. And Chris is the type of person that won't walk away from a job not finnished he will want to make it up and i hope that means playing next year:D
But Chris is the kind of person that wouldnt tell a lady with 4 kids in one pram that she just rammed the end of the pram into his privates even if she didnt move for 10min he would stand there and take it till she moved on.
He's a great man that goes out of his way to be kindhearted. Always the last to leave siging autographs and has to be dragged away or he won't go and won't stop saying sorry to the rest for not getting to them.
How many people out there would love him as a brother or son or father... And i don't say this ever but i'll say it this once his wife mel is one very lucky girl.
I think we could search the hole world and we wouldn't find 3 people that didn't think he was great.
