Trying to plan a family holiday, loosely around being able to go to the Gold Coast vs Collingwood game. And despite it being in the school holidays, it's one of the TBC rounds. Have they given a deadline as to when they'll announce the dates/times for Round 16?

What a crock of s**t.

Im assuning it'll be the Saturday night or something but I'd hate to find out it's on the Thursday night if booking to arrive after that.
I reckon it will be Saturday or Sunday. Probably Saturday twilight or night. Night would be 70% likely.

You can rule out Thursday (too soon) and Friday night as the game isn't big enough.

Don't hold me to it though as my predictions are notorious around these parts.

Nah I reckon you're right.

Thursday and Friday are almost definite no's unless GCS pull their finger out and become Box Office over the next 2 months.

I don't think we've ever played up there during the day so I reckon Saturday night might be on the money.

Bruce: Good caller of the game until he fell into self-parody.

Gerard: Really good.

Hudson: Gets a bit shrill, but quite okay.

Dennis: One of a kind in football commentary. Good at the in-and-under stuff, avoided cliche, some spectacular lines.

BT: Absolute trash. Self-indulgent, chronically unfunny, and often struggles to keep up with the play.

Significance of Results: No volume when BT is calling. Footballers in general are hard to listen to, especially people like Buckley who are hellbent on making the simple sound complicated.
Bucks is actually quite difficult to listen to, even / especially on the couch. Seems determined to prove that he is a great analyst and reader of the game, rather than focus on entertaining / enlightening the viewer. & his self formulated twist on word use still proves to be hard on the ear. Dermie the same, whilst Kingy is similar, but has learned to inspire through his comments, which is what Bucks needs to learn to do. Becomes quite clear why he was always deemed too robotic as a teammate and coach.

The best show for me is easily Footy classified, with Journos mostly showing up ex footballers for intellect, inside knowledge and issues in the game. Way more insightful and entertaining than ex players jostling to prove they are / were right all the time.

Clinton Grybus would have been one of the all time greats.
Was a dyed in wool pies fan as well, Clinton. Worked with him for 5 years, and whilst he was the ultimate professional and mature beyond his years, he absolutely hated it when the pies lost, or when we got shafted by the umpires. RIP Clinton, gone way too soon

I've never minded Dermott. He speaks utter gibberish but his enthusiasm for the game always comes through.

Could be worse…

Must have webbed feet.
Most people, especially Americans, wouldn't even notice.
I posted another one from The Age a while back of a photo of a destroyed car with the caption "Rishabh Pant's car is in a stable condition".
Stuff like this is always good for a laugh.

ROFL.

Surely this post is acid sarcasm?
