Oliver either stays there, or goes elsewhere with Dee’s likely paying some of his salary. There is something off with him this season, he doesn’t look a prime mover. You see glimpses of his best but he spends lots of time outside the corridor in areas he isn’t suited. I think he might also relapse at some point in an offseason.
If they get the right dealer done, he might make a move.

Is the Oliver part of your post your opinion too?

No it's what I have been told last week.

I have provided stuff over the years, usually get good mail, Pies have enquired about him and believe that he will be at another club next year.

According to reports we are after Zurhar.

I don't get it, would be a big salary and we probably have bigger needs.

The club have nailed most trades and FAs so will back them in.

Linked is all ive heard.
Hard to say how strongly, as we seem to have our hands in many pockets

What is Zurhaars elite attribute? From afar and not following him that closely, he seems to be a bit lazy?

For that salary he would need to be an important role in the first team? Is he going to take over from De Goey?

In my mind he is similar to a De Goey / Stringer powerful athlete. Has Zurhaar looked elite when passing through the midfield? Because even Stringer looks powerful with his midfield cameos.

If he played forward, is he blocking the path of McInnes ? Is he taking over Elliott role? Blocking the path of Joe Richards?

Could Zurhaar play on a wing? So it's Zurhaar ahead of Bailey Smith?

Intrigued by this possible acquisition.

He is good mates with Bruzzy

Not sure an absolute need but the attraction like McStay would be no trade required

McStay (with some hindsight) made sense. He filled a void.

I think its important we maintain the integrity of our salary cap. IMO a player coming from a struggling club at the minimum should be coming for unders.

Whats on the CV of Zurhaar? Has he won a b&f? Top 5 finishes (pretty sure it's zero)

I don't think he is worthy of big coin.

they had offers last year and held on to him for that very reason, I’d say if they’re trading him now it’s because he’s too far gone.
If they trade him it'll be because they think the risk/reward calculation isn't in their favour. These things are never close to certain. There's two factors to the risk - him ****ing up and the size and length of the contract. If it was two years left at $500,000 Melbourne would be much more inclined to keep him and clubs would be lining up. So in other words a decision to move him on won't just be about their belief of his likelihood of ****ing up and not delivering.

Another vote for Aldi De Goey

The 11 dollar prosecco is worth twice that. The 7 buck Shiraz is a 20 buck shiraz.

Never forget, Coles and Woolies a price fixing duopoly.

Oliver has serious issues, you wouldn’t take him if he played for free.

They're $5(?) creamy blue cheese is good.

Why no wine in Aldi SA ( threat to the local grape denizens?).
Licensing laws are different.

I don't understand why in Vic the other supermarkets keep their wine in a separate branded store and don't stock booze whereas ALDI are allowed to sell it in the supermarket. Or why ALDI are allowed to sell booze but convenience stores aren't.

Sounds like it's all run by the AFL

As some have noted, gobsmacked that Clarry is even in the discussion on here. His best may or may not be behind him, and his fitness and form may or may not return, but the bigger issue is the Ben Cousins vibes he gives off.

Let Melbourne deal with it. Sad for the guy, but his problem is not easily solved by a club with a ‘better’ culture.

And nor should we take the risk and devote scarce resources to that problem
