Donāt forget weāre also giving up JFNās 5 future kids and their children! So itās going to cost us over 20 players just for Houston. The club has gone too far.Actually when you think about if his salary is around the $1m mark thatās 3 x young gun salaries. So weād be giving up two first round pick, 2 established players, 2 draftees we would have used on the picks plus three young guns for his salary.
Even as one of the boardās biggest advocate for bringing Houston in I canāt quite justify the cost of 2 picks and 7 players.
and when you factor in future FS of those potential draftees, that could blow out to 12 players.Actually when you think about if his salary is around the $1m mark thatās 3 x young gun salaries. So weād be giving up two first round pick, 2 established players, 2 draftees we would have used on the picks plus three young guns for his salary.

He's really not. They're about the same. He's better than Frampton
damn it, beat me to itDonāt forget weāre also giving up JFNās 5 future kids and their children! So itās going to cost us over 20 players just for Houston. The club has gone too far.
Next stop is Houston.
It's a scam if you'd ask meEveryone sooking about the Perryman and Battle compo
If they get Pick 2 for a plodder like Graham thatās a sign that the compo system is cooked 100%
Both of the guys listed at the top are much better players than him
Decent chance of this happening I reckon. The key there will be somehow prying 12(14) out of Gold Coast
Then maybe we can get Port involved with Richards
Perryman, Houston and a delisted free agent or someone like Tomlinson as another UFA would be a fantastic off season in an off season with no first rounder
Time to buy a 10 gallon hatI'm emotionally invested in Houston now
Decent chance of this happening I reckon.
Itās chess with a pigeon mate! Remember Saturday? Thereās no point trying to explain it theyāve made up their mind.
Or they could be given additional compensation based on the ladder position and contract bands. So if you set bottom of the first round as the starting point, then allocate picks accordingly. There really is no reason the compensation picks should come after a teamās own pick. They should be end of round if anything at all. If the AFL wants to help struggling clubs they can still give priority picks wherever they want. Itās just yet another example of a poorly thought system by the AFL that makes the draft even more problematic (biggest culprit are academies and that will become abundantly clear in the next few years).
