2024 for 2025
Noble & 36 = 13, 20 & 26
Richards, 13 & 26 = Houston
We take pick 20 to this draft with a couple of late picks.
Others trades which might emerge from the wilderness which we would seek picks into next years draft (Johnson, Kruger etc) or seek to have them positioned as F2 or projected early F3 picks having points attached. (Thinking McGuane here)

2025 for 2026
We have F1 which we will look to split into 2 second rounders for McGuane, use as part of a trade for Trac or even use it to push into 2026 draft if we already have in our pocket a couple of second round picks. Options, Options & even more options.

Just a thought..;-)
That's a wee bit nuts.

Carlton have offered the Schultz price for pick 13.

So that's (the Schultz price) + 20 + (36 upraded to 26) - for JFN.

A lot has been written about the trades GC have positioned themselves as a destination club to Rioli & Noble as well as to their respective managers. These same managers represent a number of players, and the wider football industry is now watching how GC handle themselves in ensuring they deliver the outcome(s) and vision they have sold to others during this season.

They will pay overs because they will want to ensure they have a "brand" which delivers against their trade commitments this year and establishes a club mantra for future seasons as well. (Wright could be accused of following a similar script)

Here are my thoughts.....

Unfortunately noble isn't worth that much of a draft capital. I personally think it would be pick 13 for Noble and some second rounder. (Just not factoring the F1 in this exercise)
Then you could swing 13, Richards, another second rounder for Houston (would imagine Richards plus a second would come close to a first round pick value)

We can still trade out F1, for multiple picks to be used as we see fit.

The Carlton trade thread has pretty well turned from anything they are getting to a Collingwood melt session. My favourite was "Is them getting Houston worth 1 more flag?" Oh boy
The Who will be better in 2025 - Collingwood or Carlton thread will go nuclear by the end of the draft and trade silly season.

Wowee! If it gets up their nose, it’s always worth it.

They’re sticking fat with the “We finished 8th and got bent over in an elimination final so we’re heaps better” narrative in that thread. Even though it’s about 2025

Can't wait for when clubs are able to trade players without their permission, will really seperatate the men from the boys. We will get to see which players pout and which players just accept it and get on with it.
Mick Malthouse wrote a column similar to this a few days back and how clubs trading free agents will level up the comp.

They lost more games than we did, and we beat them twice.

And we beat Brisbane twice, the team that bent them over in the finals and went on to win the flag.

We may have dropped the ball elsewhere this season, but we're better than Carlton.

We all know Lions were very thankful to have played Blues in the EF rather than us.

Our coaching and on field leadership is in another galaxy compared to theirs. All the individual medals in the world can’t bridge that gap
