The thing is Ted, is that Jamie Elliott is a gun forward, one of the best in the comp, and he doesn't have to be part of the deal. It will be something else, with the news on Scharenberg I'm a little burnt out by all this.

By the sound of it he doesn't rate the draft full stop, happy to trade out of the 1st round.

I think you'd find every recruiter would be happy to trade out of the first round for a player like Treloar, regardless of the strength of the draft.

I'd trade Elliott as currency to secure Treloar in a heartbeat. We clearly need another gun in the middle capable of creating play and cover Pendles if he ever succumbs to LT injury.
Doubt it'd be a club to club trade but what we'd need to put up to get it done. Treloar is what we need during rounds 1-22 as a general play maker.
We can cover a small goal kicking forward. Elliot is great for a highlight reel but doesn't appear to be a club man. Elliot would be a real catch for Brisbane or GWS to get bums on seats.
General outs -
Fasolo for a 2nd round pick.
White, Young, Armstrong, Dwyer, Gault, Keeffe & Thomas.

Trade these away for some experience to get our core of 30 better aligned.

I hope we push hard for Schultz at the Pies for 2016, 2017. Kicks straight and has on field presence and I don't recall him melting in front of goal.

Cloke, Moore & Schultz up forward with Reid resuming down back with Brown & Frost. There's a quality key position spine and depth in that mix.

Do not trade Witts, will be a huge mistake. Keep playing both our rucks off against each other until the dominant one emerges then consider a trade a season or two away.

Is there anything we can trade a lowly bottom four club to move up the draft. What would Seedsman be worth to Essendon? Could we swap pick 8 and 26 for pick 4 and 22, and then trade those picks for Treloar?

Could be a sneaky chance to trade pick 27 & Oxley for Brisbanes pick 20. Brisbane will get a 2nd round compo when Leuenberger leaves and that we be around the same pick. They should get a pick for Aisho unless the rumours are true and he goes to Carlton. That gives Brisbane their picks for their 2 academy kids.

There has actually been no reports saying scharenburg is homesick. All reports have been consistent that he is looking to play seniors and that talks are on going. If he had already decided to go home he would have put talks off until the end of season. The fact we are still talking is a real positive and clearly both club and player are trying to establish his worth which is difficult given his draft position and subsequent injury history.
The notion scharenburg is gone already is plain wrong.
