Few potential trades I wouldn't mind seeing go through.

Hanley & Witts to Suns, Frost & Pick 27 (GC's Pick) to Lions, Pick 24 (GC's Pick) to Pies - wishful thinking.

Lin Jong to Suns for Pick 40, Cloke to Dogs for Pick 59 - I'm hoping dogs would be happy using just the 3 picks in the top 40.

Pick 24, 25 & 43 to GWS for WHE & Pick 16. It more or less means WHE is worth around Pick 21/22. It gives them more points compared to a straight swap for 24 or 25. That Pick 16 could be used to pick up a key position player in the draft.

Not really too interested in Wells tbh

Don't think they can pay him that much under the VFL salary cap though.

And if needed to, Beveridge will definitely give Cloke time in the 2s to learn something he sin't doing right. Did it with Stringer, did it with Boyd, etc. Hope Clokey and his dad have understood this.

With Crameri coming back and the further development of Boyd and Stringer, I just don't see what Cloke could possibly add to their AFL side.

Most clubs wouldn't even use 71, so yeah basically nothing. And clearly de-list was a joke.
Usually I would say a club owes something to their players but not in this case. Again, why should we do any favours when we get virtually nothing in return?

Because it's in our interest. $450k and a list spot back. Good will with the player and the agent.

I am genuinely interested in your opinion of why he is a good trade?

Former pick 4 with pace, elite kicking, X-factor, I think he could be a freak but like alot of blokes with freakish abilities he is also lazy, I just think he is someone we seriously lack and is worth the risk.

Low risk, extremely high reward.

IN an interview I heard with Sanderson, he clearly stated that Gubby sat in on the interviews

No it wasn't. Gubby was well and truly pulling the strings by the time that had been finalised.

It was most certainly but that wouldn't stop Gubby putting a line through it

I don't mind the polish and speed of Wells and WHE, but I think we lack onfield leadership presence and those who can coach our younger talented players on the ground.

BTW, I can see us ending up with pick 59 for Cloke from the Dogs. I'd happily take that if it gets us closer to taking Brown and Daicos.
