Mixed messages these days. Blokes get criticized for holding open doors for women. He probably thought she would be offended by such a patriarchal gesture.:)
Chivalry walked out the door
In modern days , some get offended by it and claim it to be a sexist act
Silly world at times
My partner loves all the bells and whistles associated with chivalry

Yeah well that was the dogma going around today on talk back radio. I'm sure it's real, but most of us blokes operate on instinct and open doors for the more fragile.

P.S please do not look up the word 'instinct' on google.

We will not get Dunn, surely, or I'm Dunn. You don't let players like Brown go only to replace them with someone who's struggling to even make Melbourne's best 22.

That won't improve us to even pass Melbourne themselves let alone other clubs.

We might be "desperate" to get a KPD but we're not that desperate.

I still hope we go with other options but if we did go down the path of taking Dunn it would be because they think he can fit into a role within a revamped Collingwood defensive 50 set up.

Let's face it Brown (although a great clubman) and Frost are very limited footballers in the modern game. Ok stoppers but they provide no offensive drive and both are poor kicks; which is a liability in that area of the ground.

Que sera sera.

I'm just figuring that the footy club knows what it's doing, these guys get paid big bucks to work out the list...I'm a bit worried but then, brown and frost were liabilities with ball in hand - sometimes pretty bloody embarrassing.

Haven't you heard? How is it possible? Do you work underground? No reception?
I can't beleive you haven't heard.
lol.. ok so nothing

Rocky could yet fill our need for more mids and Jenny Talia is preferred to Lyndon Dunn
Lyndon F@in Dunn!!!. surely not... If there's any substance to this then my theory about us having a cunning plan for letting Brown go is out the door!

I think some perspective is needed here.

1- the majority of posters want us to trade in Brown and Daicos

2- A large sum of posters only want us to trade in a quality (on potential) KPD

3- A lot of posters don't want us to look at defenders we may actually be able to nab for next to nothing for peanuts as a stopgap until we can get back into the first round next year

Epilogue- You can't rehaul a whole playing list with shonky skills in one trade period. Also we just don't have the collateral to get a decent KPD in AND get the father son lads AND get WHE.

Midfield is complete/elite now, forward line is only one KPF off looking pretty darn good. Backline is as bare as Mrs Hubbards cupboard. I'm sure that will be addressed next year.

Buckle up. It's one or two more years of rebuild city. Pretty sure Gubby is happy for Buckley to be collateral damage in the process too

Kicking is everything coming out of defense. What good can you possibly be if you shut down your immediate opponent only to give it to someone else who kicks it back over your head?
I have no problems losing Brown and Frost. Williams and Greenwood have the same problem. Much and all as I like all of them, they're always going to let me down.

One of the more sensible posts I've read on this forum
