One thing I can't pick is who the sub will be.
Doesn’t Fly usually announce it in his post-training presser?
(I’m hoping it’s Allan.)

Nah, we wont know the sub until selection day. they have a habit of adding it to the article.Doesn’t Fly usually announce it in his post-training presser?

And so far, Fly doesn't debut kids as subs. So reckon it'll be someone else.
We know its more than numbers for fly. How he is covering the ground and the other stuff.Yes, you’re right of course.
Whilst I was hoping it would be Allan, Reef makes most sense to me given his form, size and versatility.
Some here are calling for Macrae but he was consistently overlooked when fully fit and racking up big VFL numbers, so I doubt he’ll get the call up now, only recently back from injury and not dominating the VFL quite as much as he was a month or two ago.

Maybe - but Cadman is going to be a star.My Grandma could kick 8 against Preston.

I'm looking forward to see how Ryan performs on the big stage.
Yeah, reckon it should have started from the carlton/hawks game.I'm looking forward to any of the young or inexperienced players getting a chance. Only a fortnight too late in my opinion.
Harrison played against the Eagles?Yeah, reckon it should have started from the carlton/hawks game.
Heck even the eagles game mid season
How many fringe players play 17/22 games on a healthy list, as Gunston has?Gunston and Rich are "fringe" players at this point.
Ashcroft sure, but he's one player.
I personally would argue the hit their midfield takes without Ashcroft doesn't match the hit ours takes without De Goey. Let alone De Goey and Daicos.
In the end, this is essentially a dead rubber and not playing De Goey and Hill is a part of that. Fly himself said "if this was a Grand Final, we'd pushing for all of them to play". Translation "This match ultimately doesn't mean much and it's not worth risking them".
I'm not expecting a win and won't be upset if we lose given our outs. I would just like to see us play decently well and not get pumped.
Because mathematically we can still lose top two and part of that is requiring us getting pumped in both our games. So while I don't expect us to win, I'd like us to at least keep the game competitive.
Of course. I forgot.Harrison played against the Eagles?
I don't think it should be an unpopular opinion - I actually think the idea of getting Daicos into the centre clearances is a good idea. I'd move him to the outside once the centre stoppage is over, probably for one of the slower guys who can start on the wing and move into the middle.Potentially an unpopular opinion but I'd like to see Josh Daicos in the middle a little bit on Friday night, especially with Sidey back on a wing. Daicos had stints in the middle last year and did well and I think we may need some x-factor in there amongst Adams, Mitchell, Pendlebury with Naicos and JDG out
Is my boy coming back in, Jen?Yeah, reckon it should have started from the carlton/hawks game.
Heck even the eagles game mid season
Cox!!!My question is who is second ruck?
You don't really want to be messing around with the backline (especially without Moore) and having Frampton give a chop out in the ruck will leave Murphy as the tallest defender with either Hipwood, Daniher or potentially both down there.
McStay wasn't much chop in the ruck and I'm not sure Mihocek has ever rucked in his career. We might have to swing Howe back for the stints Frampton does ruck

Geezus. Our three best players out, and Bobby, after he played arguably, his best game. And after he and Ginni put on some sort of show. Was really looking forward to the encore.
Good luck to young Ryan. Hope he gets a decent haircut before the game, but that’s just a whine on my part.
Feeling a bit flat now about our prospects for tomorrow night. We’re good but not so good as to overcome the loss of so much talent.
Wade has his work cut out for September.
My answer is who cares. The 10 minutes of match time or 15 mins of actual time they spend opposed to Daniher is inconsequential compared to the 60 minutes of match time or 90 mins of actual time they spend up forward. My question is who is second ruck?
