As mentioned earlier... can't bomb it out if the defensive 50... Melbourne's whole strategy and strength is locking those kicks out....

Need to break through the corridor with a bit of run or lower the eyes and get the ball on the ground for a bounce... chip it away from the defensive 50.

I think the thing with Sidey is the mistakes he makes despite being so skilled. But his defensive & 1v1 work has been terrific!

Steele, Crispy, Bruzzy, Bobby all unbelievable, Adams again poor, Elliot missing a soda hurts, and McStay just deplorable.
Surprised by Josh’s game, conditions should have suited him but he’s been non existent.

Agree with all of this but reckon Adams has been important. This is a tough Melbourne midfield and we have gone toe-to-toe on the inside. Adams has played his part.

Plenty of our players had ordinary first half too so plenty of room for improvement.
Van Rooyen sniped McStay with the elbow. Should miss weeks.
