Thought Adams was in everything, disposal still a little scratchy.

Lynch has a very good hit out against Gawn and Preuss. Is developing.

Big points for me

Moore and Elliott barring injury are back and good for round 1

Reid looked most dangerous big forward for us and competed hard, ran the game out. Will be in the mix for round 1

Quaynor showed enough glimpses to see there is plenty there. Will play seniors in 2019 most likely, maybe not early.

Wills is fit and showed a little. Interesting to see where we go with he Reid and Mihacek. Space for 2 at most. Reid probably offers most if he can get back near best.

Aish looked good and Greenwood was a fighter in everything as usual. Poor skills but someone will need to step up to take his place

Will be lots of battling around the 16-22 spots. Thomas and Mihacek won’t want down pre seasons. Mayne steady but will be borderline. Ditto Aish, Greenwood, Reid etc. interesting

Pretty good hit out all things considered.

Typical early season disposal woes, hopefully just cobwebs. I thought a lot of their slicker ball movement came from their ruck dominance which seemed to give them greater surety in the clearances.

Beams, Reid, Moore and Elliott all playing well was the major positive for us. Thought Aish was good also.

Of the kids pushing for selection, thought IQ showed a bit and it was mostly positive, aside from nearly getting Wills killed with that hospital handball. He'll have had his eyes opened to the increased tempo and pressure. Though he lowered his colours, thought Lynch battled manfully and showed some positive signs. Daicos was good as was Murphy. Neither of the Brown lads offered much.

Roughy showed a bit down back. Thought he might have offered more when swung into the ruck.

Got through unscathed is the main thing. Bring on the JLT.

From what I could see we did seem to play a 3 tall forward line , featuring Coxy, Reid, Mihocek and, at times Wills. I thought Mihocek pretty anonymous in this game, and seemed to get lost playing that 3rd banana role. OTOH, Reid has definitely lost a yard, but the ageing old warhorse knows how to present and have big man presence. I prefer Mihocek, but he needs to play better than this

I went. Lovely weather for it. Had a heap of Demons fans around, imagine complaining about the umpiring in an unofficial practice match where your team is up a fair bit. Our boys didnt go as hard as Melbourne. Good hit out though and I dont think anyone got injured. Elliott, Beams and Moore all looked good
