Along with Busslinger; Any updates on the following WA Talent?

Tholstrup, Hardeman, Collard (2023) and Allan and maybe Adams (2022). And more importantly, Curtin? I think he made his debut last week or two - did keep his spot against Collingwood yesterday?

I am going to put Jones/Walters in the never going to happen pile...
Tholstrup-Won’t leave Demons as per immediate family member

Hardeman-No mail but who’d want to play for Norf?

Collard-playing like he doesn’t give a shit pretty sure he’ll try to JHF it.

Curtin-being played out of position, subbed twice then dropped. Long way to go but I’m sure we’ll ask the question. Swap of 1Rs and Curtin for Barnett might be a starting point suggestion but so much water to go under the bridge and the Crows will want more.

Walter and Jones no idea, but there will be an imminent salary cap squeeze at both clubs.

Nothing official but a few on Saints board are convinced Collard won’t stay.

Crows board is very anxious about Curtin, Curtin leaving is almost a board meme.

Allan is contracted til end of 2026 and no word there. By time his contract is coming up he would have more opportunities with their mids getting older.
I thought the crows would have been quite comfortable with Curtin and odds on favourite to keep him. In saying that, thats music to my ears then and hope he does have a hard time of it and wants a return home in 2026!

Collard was very Sheezle like and was well known he did not want to leave home, and when he comes back should be in happy spot. Penny's on a dollar R4/R5?

The Curtin thing reeks of impatient crows fans. Curtin himself imo isn't that impatient.

He's a defender or third defender. I wouldn't even try him as third defender or that pick is down the drain IMO/wasted full potential.

So crows coaching is doing fine in terms of forcing him as KPD.

This off season will be a real test for Clarke in my eyes. We should really make out like bandits given our cap room and decent draft currency

Between the FA/RFA and out of contract players, a huge amount of talent is available to improve the club, without sacrificing out first rounder.

Buss, Perryman, Stengle are absolute priorities imo.
McLuggage would be amazing but I worry his contract would be too much to get him over.
Zurhaar would be great for some more grunt.

NFA - Nik Cox, Archie Perkins, Alex Davies, Ned Moyle, Bodhi Uwland are others to look at.

Murmurs on the Tigers board about the need for a priority pick, after the assistance North has already received.

I think majority of posts about a PP are being facetious. They have a weird sense of humour over there, do the Tiges. It’s a bit of a mental asylum if you ask me.

AFL doesn’t consider PP’s for a solitary poor season. Needs to be sustained non-competitiveness.

They are still blaming the umpires for their losses this year. I am not making it up.

Hahahaha.

Apparently we don’t deserve one because we won a flag in 2018 and traded too much for Kelly.

Richmond won flags in 2017, 2019 and 2020 and traded out of two drafts for Taranto and Hopper.

I’m sure the footy media will take a similar view.

Is Curtin actually any good? It sounds a bit foolhardy to trade Barnett, who has shown that he's likely to be serviceable in a few season when he's bulked up. There's also the chance he becomes a KPD anyway. I'd rather keep him and not Downgrade our first.

He’s injured his left knee and is a left footer who largely relies on his kicking to justify his high selection. I only mention Barnett as O’Brien is getting on and apparently wants to study medicine Tom Swift style so Barnett would be of obvious interest to the Crows.

I’m happy to keep our powder dry. If Curtin wants to come back to WA his management will no doubt be in touch, otherwise revisit at the end of his contract.

Barnett is close to re-signing, while he hasn’t set the world on fire he is a ruck who take a while to develop.

The haste in which some posters are willing to put him up for trading in Curtin is silly imo.

Curtin looked good in his last SANfL game getting 31 disposals, but the same question an over Curtin in his draft year are still unresolved…

What is he?

SANFL playing deep defender more often than not and AFL was getting dragged to the goal square to defend 1 vs 1. Admittedly was mostly against another 1st year player Logan Morris but he’s best suited further up the ground where he can use his distribution and reading the play ability.

Wasn’t sure if that was directed at me but to be clear as posted above he would be of interest to the Crows, I wasn’t suggesting we punt him. Almost all rucks take at least 5 years to mature to a point where they can consistently contribute.

No exclusively directed at you, but seems to be a general view that we should willingly give up Barnett to get Curtin.

Our ruck stocks are dire, Barnett is highly rated, despite being a bit underwhelming so far.

Giving up a required player for a highly rated player who currently doesn’t have an obvious position doesn’t make sense.

Curtin is highly unlikely to leave Adelaide this year, if he does leave it’ll be when he is out of contract in 2026.

Not sure it’s a general view but if you want quality, you have to give up quality. Or in this case, if you want highly rated potential, you have to give up highly rated potential. If the Eagles do indeed want Curtin, Barnett as an SA boy makes sense to be part of the conversation.

Wait the fcuk up.

vAFL didnt give us one, they sure a fcuk dont get one.

And I would still be asking the AFL for the same package as Kangaroos if we finish under 5 wins, consider the last four years have been absolute tripe.
Doubt we'll get anything regardless of where we finish. But I'd be pushing it anyway - and noting that the second pick for 'the worst team ever' (who finished bottom) was pick 30. Not pick 19 or even 21, or22 but 30! How does that help with a rebuild?

Funny because we also don't deserve it because we didn't trade the reid pick out

If you're any good as a defender it shouldn't matter if its deep or not.
If we can pick him up later on once he's shown something then all good but if we get buss there's no way we should pay overs to get him back

Imagine Curtin Buss Bazzo as our 3 key posts for the next 10+ years
TB having a few years left means we wont have a spot in the 23 for all 3 of those guys if we had them all. Better to just get one of them and draft another who will be looking for games in 2-3 years time imo

Busslinger at the end of this year, Curtin at the end of 2026.

Would be perfection.

I’d love our F2 to get it done for Buss but I think it’s going to be knocked back. There’s some very good players available around the mark of our second pick if we can hang onto it.

Xavier Lindsay 183cm Gippsland
Noah Mraz 198cm Dandenong
Bo Allan 191cm Peel

Also keeping an eye on 190cm Dandenong pair Cooper Hynes and Harvey Langford.

Obviously this pick also depends on our trade and 1R(s) selections.

If he's out of contract then they won't have much leg to stand on, they certainly won't be getting a first rounder for him
