Bailey Williams looks lost at CHF. Maybe we could get a 3rd rounder for him. He's redundant with Jack Williams improving as a Forward/Ruck anyway, plus Reid and Barnett.

And would we have the balls to sell high on Waterman? Surely an early second rounder. I'd be happy to keep him. But if we're considering trading out talent for picks, I'd move Jake before Tommy.

Caddy/O'Sullivan/Curtin would've been ones I probably would've prioritised if I were the Hawks, especially considering Mitch Lewis is perma-injured but they just went and got Chol, who's doing well, and have Breust about to retire. Watson also rated the higher talent, I suppose, plus perhaps they still think DGB may come good.
The big boys would have been playing as 3rd talls with a good age profile behind their existing KPPs. Agree with you they must have simply rated Watson as the higher talent, which is really what you should be drafting on in the top 5 unless you’re a contender drafting for need who has ended up with a pick there. DGB. If he was pick 60 instead of 6 I don’t think he’d get another contract but acknowledging burning pick 6 after 4 seasons would be a tough pill to swallow. As a WA boy I hope he comes good.

No move Oscar before Waterman.

A top 5 pick for Oscar is less bullshit then an early second round pick for Waterman.

In fact any slip up on Oscar and I'll be first on the line to scream trade him. He passed the first test with his return match though

Agree on bailey Williams. Sydney might want him

BBW should be traded if he’s open to going back to Melbourne but not for peanuts. Player swap or a mid 2R, otherwise he’s handy ruck cover.

If he were to be traded, Waterman will get us more as band 1 FA next year if he maintains this form so shouldn’t be even entertained this year.

Wasnt there some talk of upping Watermans pay the other week? Hopefully they up his pay to put him into RFA territory in the case he did want to leave we could ensure suitable compensation

He hasn't really even played there. Probably played half a game at CHF.

Don't think I even saw him in the forwardline on the weekend at all. Seemed to be played mostly behind the ball.

I saw him once fly for a mark at the back of a pack.

I suspect this opinion goes against most here but I think he needs a bit more time to show whether it might work just like Flynn can’t be written off at this point.

Are you joking?
If we want 2 top 15 picks for TB, Waterman is worth that as a minimum. Id be asking top 5 pick

You want to trade OA.
You wanted to throw the kitchen sink at Dev Robertson.

Ok......

In terms of trading out a player to build a genuinely top end list Oscar definitely offers the most bang for the buck. Then Barrass then Yeo I guess. There is no way we are trading a Captain, so I guess it'd be up to Barrass. Very likely to be no-one at the higher end its not really our thing.

If we get Darling to 300 and he finishes the season strongly he really should be told look if you play out this contract that's fine but there won't be another, and be prepared to be managed heavily in order to get some development done. He's put it out there in the media he wants to play until he's 35 and he could easily be the final piece of the puzzle for a contender. A contract similar to what Yeo got at another club [2 years plus trigger for 3] would be a fine way to end his career. go to a side that doesn't have to travel every second week and has double the forward 50 entries we get, guy could turn the clock back 10 years, kick 40-50 goals a season and snag another medal or two.

We're not trading Allen. He's the next Captain. Jake is a lead up forward, often moves into the same lanes as Allen inside 50. And so does Darling. Jakes 26, has a higher trade value than Darling, and we've got younger options coming through. Sell high.
A good KPF isnt that easy to find, and takes years to develop. We have our KPF stocks sorted for the next 6+ years, why would we potentially start the hunt for another now?
Allen and Waterman are both young enough to be around when we contend again

If Waterman asked to leave as a free agent next year getting us band 1 compo well then there isnt anything we can do about it, no way would I be trying to offload him though.

There will no doubt be some huge offers coming for Waterman if he keeps this form up, but thats a problem for next year

2nd round pick for a player in the running for the Coleman?

My god this board has lost the plot

According to one of our posters his preference is Collingwood. Whilst what drives TB probably isn’t as obvious as it is for most footballers, IF the media reports of him being open to a move are true I can see a situation where we pay his salary, the Dogs top him up 300k a year and we are well compensated. The Bont has 4-5 good years left to chase another flag, if I was the dogs I’d be going all in on a flag whilst he’s still around.

I do think they shot themselves in the foot with the ridiculous trade they did with GCS. Would have been far better off moving those picks into this year’s draft and getting a motza for them. I reckon any of Saints, Crows and maybe Hawks would have traded 10 for their F1.
Collingwood have nothing we want that they would be willing to part with or would want to come to WA .
They have no first rounder . Their future first could end up in the 20s especially adding in barrass

I need Lalor to play in champs and rack it up in the champs.

One thing that is very apparent by the video is he is a tackling/defensive machine.

If he racks it up in the champions then I would be over the moon with pick 3 since at that pick we can get

1. FOS
2. Draper
3. Larlor

The gap from three down is sizeable. Larlor if he racks it up in championship is a safe as houses pick and is a need. We need someone to accumulate ground ball gets a dish off to Harley and Hewitt. Additionally need that player to cover for the defensive game for Harley and Hewitt.

So pending championship Lalor may be in my top 3 and may be my man as opposed to Sid draper. Although sid seems to have a highef ceiling.

Well I've been hoping we split our pick and still get Lalor at 9.

That may not happen if the kid keeps playing this well.

Lalor, Travaglia and Bo Allen this draft is my dream result.

A Collingwood deal would have to be F1 x 2 and a player (Allan or DeMattia). Agree that it’s unlikely there’s enough there to work with that both teams would be comfortably pissed of with.

Trade Allen? WTF.

Waterman for an early 2nd that will slide to 30? WTF.

You been eating wild mushrooms or something?
