Very premature to melt about the Hawks offer reported in that article. It is exactly the offer you would put if you were the Hawks at that point of the negotiations.

I'm sure we go back and say 2xF1s for Barrass and a F3 and eventually it lands on 2xF1s for Barrass and a F2.

Why are the hawks pursuing Barrass given they traded pick 14? If anything, they've made it even more difficult to get a deal done and we should stop all negotiations with them and look elsewhere to trade out TB. F*** them

I would be delighted if Fremantle snagged Baker in that deal.

That’s why it makes no sense - not only from a Fremantle perspective, but Richmond would take their hand off for that deal.

They would be getting 2 First Rounders for Bolton and 1 for Baker - it’s exactly what they want. They would be all over Baker’s people right now trying to convince him to go to Freo.

Yet it’s just mentioned as a throw away ‘fact’ in a news update?

Baker for 26 & F2

3 for late top 10 and a pick in the teens

Draft ~7-10, 14-20 & whatever late picks we have (Maybe trade a late pick for Dev)

Currency for Warner in 2025 secured. List floor significantly improved. Solved our list age profile issues.

Issue is why is it even being discussed and Carlton have nothing else to give. You’d hope it’s just a bit of a scare tactic from us to get Hawks to pay up

Wasn't there a rumour that Fremantle had offered 10 for Baker already (which is why Richmond wanted 14 off us).

We can’t trade the Brisbane future second we got for afl rules so I assume it would be 12 14 and maybe something like Moir Motlop owies or something any of the guys who are from Perth or linked to a move

Not that this is relevant for us but I'd take Kennedy over Baker quite comfortably and he'd cost significantly less.

Kennedy is a B grade state level midfielder.

I get everyone is off Baker at the moment, given what he'd cost, but I'd take the midget ahead of Kennedy by the length of the Flemington.

Baker is quality. Kennedy is bleh. Graham plays the similar role and style to Kennedy, and we've just picked him up for nada.

Yes, youd be trying to make the difference using fringe players. Not really worth the difference here.
