I swear if Longy had the tank he could be GAJ in there. Reads the play so well, smooth evasive mover, good by hand & obviously knows how to finish.

I really hope he works incredibly hard because he has some incredible attributes to be very good in there. Got to have the confidence and fitness base to be involved at every possible contest. Hope he goes nuts to really get after it

They've not signed him because they've ****ed up their cap, as all the other smalls have contracts, not because they want to let him go.

I see him hopefully developing as that midfield version of LeCras we got for a few half-seasons. Don't see him ever racking up GAJ 40 disposal games or having 12 (or even 6-7) goal LeCras games but in that still valuable area inbetween.

Forward half playmaker who can pinch hit through the middle/is smart enough to get thrown behind ballups later in his career, ideally hitting 20 really good disposals and sneaking in a goal or three a game, with score involvements the key metric. One of those rare players you actually trust in that dead zone 70m out from goal.

very solid team player who works hard, also kicks goals. we could do worse for depth.

Did he deserve more money probably. Does he deserve two extra years at his age. No.
We need to be cautious in extending older players.
He also signed a long contract regardless of what he think he is worth.
Cave in and we may to do the same to other players.

Barrass wanted to go to Sydney last year on a bigger contract- not happy barrass and not happy with his contract

He then got a season ending back which could have ended his career - barrass loved his contract and loved the club

Then he got back to playing good football again this season - not happy with his contract and wants out .

Recon the injury scare made him chase that 5 years of job security.

We rightly didn't match the offers.

We will trade him if we are adequately compensated

O’Driscoll and Reidy confirmed re-signed. Max Knobel still no announcement with a dwindling list of available players. Getting a deal done for him and Garcia would hopefully be at the top of the cage rattling list of realistic deals.
