So seems like there was a bit of tension at the Tigers BnF. President seemed to give a little back hander to the departing players.

Bolton and Baker finished 5th and for some reason have a speech. Short and sweet to say the least.

Hopefully Bakers supposed stand about what the trade should be isn’t so strong anymoreView attachment 2128595
Pretty pretty awkward

Seeing how St Kilda and Richmond have dealt with departing players at their B&F it reinforces just how well we handled our own B&F with Darling and Barrass - including how well TB spoke

Worlds apart from the Saints especially but also Richmond- those speeches by Bolton and Baker were awkward to say the least

Another player i really like is Ryan Angwin from GWS

Beautiful left foot that can run all day, broke his leg and has come back from it very well

Was a pick 18 in the draft i think in 2020.

Anyway played a heap of games last year only a few this year as was hard to get in there defence

Is a mid half back that is quick and runs all day

Would probably win our 2k time trial

Lol - he was selected with one if our R1 for the Kelly trade. Geelong traded it to GWS as part of Jeremy Cameron trade.

As for TK, that’s a non story. It’s a manager getting on the front foot to get his client signed up on a new deal sooner rather than later

Kelly’s manager is a bit of a part timer from memory and is a bit less subtle than other managers

He’s a year younger than Yeo so will likely be pushing for a 3 year extension like Yeo got so manager starting the there’s interest from other clubs story now.

There’s no rush for the club to do anything now - can wait until next season starts before doing anything

Does this mean baker can stop asking that Richmond are fairly compensated? Kicked on way out….here is a 3rd rounder only campaigners.

Bit different if these guys were t premiership players but it’s not clear what president hoped to achieve.
Fans don’t care about the president (just like with us and remind-me-where-I-am-again Fitzpatrick).

It seems to be

First tigers asked for a pick 3 downgrade for Baker and we told them to **** off

Now tigers ask for pick 13 downgrade?

Well **** off again. Starting point should be pick 23 and if you are lucky steak knives

Massive word salad of nothingness.

Its scary though Pyke + list manager havnt spoken about our trade period given we are like 3 days away from it existing. What the hell have they been doing the last 3 months?
didn't he say he's not caught up with the list manager since baker/graham made their intentions known. Which is only one day prior to this interview. Nothing wrong with that when trade period is still a week away.

This account on Twitter proved quite reliable last year from memory

Starcevich is a FA next year so could be brought in without using any draft picks

I'm going to partake in what is likely some premature & unfounded self-congratulation here after my stab in the dark a couple weeks back.

If true though that's exactly what we want. High quality defender in right age bracket that costs nothing in picks

We moved heaven and earth to get Kelly and his family over here. Argument could be made that much discussed trade started the clubs downfall and dark times that followed right up until where we are now, creating long term holes in our list we're still yet to fill. Along with the disappearance of Venables, Brander, Cameron and the retirement of Shep.

Point is, i don't think Kelly is brave enough to try and staunch the club with his next contract, given how generous we were with his initial 6 year deal (gee has it really been that long already) to come here. Not after what he's produced.

You want to try and squeeze the club for cash coming out of contract like you're a Brownlow runner up and AA campaigner? Lel, go ahead. You're a shadow of that player from Geelong in 2019. Haven't been close to top 10 in a brownlow since coming to WCE. 5 votes this year, beaten by first year player Harley Reid, who legit cops the tag instead of you, in your footy prime 🤦‍♂️

I think he'll stay, much ado about nothing really. We do need to find him another role though, we're simply not getting enough out of him.

Kellys style wasn't going to suit our game plan so much when he came over. Short kicks backwards is great for an attacking mid .

I don't like the idea of Oscar Allen signing for six years as reported is what he is after. It's way too risky.

It's too long a contract for a player that's been disappointing this season. Allen has peaked, doesn't have much more improvement and can only see him dropping off. Can't see him being anymore then what he has been this season and that's not good enough for a long term contract.

Sydney need a FF…………

He's 25, not 29.

He also kicked 53 goals last year.

You been smoking random260's stash?

I disagree. I think he’ll likely make 1 maybe 2 AA’s in that time and give the Coleman a shake. Big call, but he is quality and preseason plus a decent injury run will show that.

But I do understand the concern of a longer term contract based on his past few seasons.

I hope he waits a year, and then actually picks a club. I dont want to be in a bidding war vs Freo over draft capital, thats how we get reamed. Happy to fight to win him over via contracts and whatever else can tempt Warner

Bolton goes to Freo this year they will stuggle big time to match our bid pick wise.

Having both ask to be traded at the same time would benefit us IMO.

Warner rumours flairing up. Woweee. Sydney board said Dockers board said Warner to wce.

Sydney board coming around to trading Warner after GF loss

Swans would be smart to nip this in the bud and trade now in contract.

They need to be bold and rectify their midfield deficencies. They dont want 12 months odd distraction. And what sort of year will Warner have next season coming out of contract and being aware that the next contract will be long and on big money when he is playing for well unders. He wont be playing flat out as he wont want to get injured.

And I wouldnt be upset if Kelly was involved to reduce the picks we would need to give up.
