Eagles give: Pick 2, Rioli, pick 26
Eagles gain: Pick 8, Pick 12, future 1st (Port)

North give: JHF, pick 1, future 2nd
North gain: pick 2, pick 3, pick 15, pick 26

GWS give: pick 3, pick 12, pick 15
GWS gain: pick 1, pick 33, future 2nd (NM)

Port give: pick 8, pick 33, future first
Port gain: JHF, Rioli

Something like that?

North said no to 8 and a future first. Does 33 move the needle? Doubt it.

Feels like GWS are now the biggest loser in this just because it helps Port.

Every one of these multi club deals still comes back to Port offering 8, 33 and a future first. That most likely wouldn't get JHF but somehow they get Rioli too.

That's what so annoying, pa are the ones instigating the entire sh!t stain of a trade and they come out Infront, they're desperate, don't have what they need so should be paying through the nose for what they want.

using suma's market value points chart again and assuming some values
(JHF = pick 2, rioli = 25, Ports F1 = 12, Nth F2 = 19)

eagles out: 3327
eagles in: 3248

norf out: 6067
norf in: 5759

gws out: 3877
gws in: 3949

port out: 2570
port in: 2885

port huge winners here do not want. we should be the biggest winners since this is all only going to happen because of our goodwill. north would want a lot more as well i'd assume.

it's getting closer though
That does look relatively close.

I'd have JHF pick 1++ though, to be honest, which makes Port bigger winners.

I'd have Rioli at pick 30, others may disagree. Either way not a huge difference at that point in pick values.

Is this part of our Jackson play? Nisbett and O’Brien have spoken of their confidence that we can get him but have been cagey as to our strategy. If we can package up 8 with say a pick in the vicinity of 15 (15 obtained from packaging a couple of picks in the 20s) would that get our nose in front of Freo? Then we use 12 on Ginbey, Hewett, Hollands etc..

I’m not saying this is my preferred outcome, just trying to read where this might be heading. Feel free to melt at the mere hypothesis though 👍

We also have zero motivation to help Port. They had pick 27 then took it off the table for Rioli by trading it. In what universe do we then go out of our way to help facilitate them getting JHF? And still throw in Rioli...

I watched Draft Day again last night and cheered on as Kevin Costner crushed that pancake eating mother ****er in the final trade....

Then i remembered we have the meat pie eating mother ****er working for us and my stomach churned......but then the rabbit hole went deeper as i scrolled through Disney Plus....

We've been hoodwinked by a supervillain.

GWS to swap 15 for our 26

If the AFL approve it Port to add in their future 2nd

We get 8,12,15 and Ports F2 for 2,26 and Rioli

North get the rest - 2,3,33 and Ports F1 for 1 and JHF

I'm in two minds about this.
There's a lot of unknowns when drafting, so to have 3 stabs at talent in the first round really increases our chances of finding quality.

On the otherhand, we need to be drafting elite talent while we're at the foot of the ladder instead of a bunch of Duggans. As we improve in the next couple years there'll be plenty of opportunities to grab mid-1st round talent.

Stocks falling to 0 at Wall Street could make this Trade MASSIVE.
Wonder if the new Currency is Ripple XRP & more importantly STELLAR XLM? Julio Rodriguez told people about being paid in a new currency. Trying to find a connection to this super mega trade🤔 HELP

this

Exactly this.

We have this and the next draft to nail our high end talent…… the next yeo / shuey / cousins / judd (hopefully)

Supporting cast as we go up.

Why can’t we just draft Warlaw….. if the offer for pick two is ridiculous of course look at it otherwise just draft the kid he’s good

Honestly i wish i bloody knew. He deliberately sat out the last game of the season even though he was right to play and he isn't going to test at the combine.

He's a mad Bombers supporter and all of a sudden i start to think all of this is in the hopes he will slide to the Bombers pick.

I'll bet any money he passes the medicals with flying colours and all of this is just a little bit of casual draft tampering.

It seems we have already made our mind up, we're splitting 2 and we are just looking for the best deal. The problem with that is when everyone knows your desperate you never really get what you want.

So you just draft him…. Put him in a home in Cottesloe looking over the beach with a hot Misso that rubs him off every morning before he goes to footy training…. I mean **** isn’t that every 18 year olds dream

Port still get out of this more cheaply than I'd like, but aside from that I think everyone could live with it. GWS probably the worst off but depends how high they value pick 1.

Yeah - adding more teams to the "mega-deal" which involves Port not adding more to their contribution whilst still getting the players they want.

I've wanted Wardlaw from day dot and haven't wavered at all. He's been my huckleberry all along. ;)

I reckon he's going to be a star.

Completely agree.

My feeling is that in 3 years' time, most will have long forgotten that Wardlaw had hamstring issues in his draft year.

Without injury, he would be a certain no.1 selection.

I still think he is the best player in this year's draft by a clear margin - with North looking hard at Cadman, we have one hand on him already - I don't understand why we would consider trading that away.

He’s better than Ashcroft hands down when fit….. **** it’s not rocket science
