It's because we are witty and intelligent mate.

Not pushovers. But not frothing softc***s like some boards.
A fair bit of this.

What is it that keeps you so invested in WC, have the posters on the Brisbane forum not been kind to you?
I’m interested in the list building side of sport.

That’s a pretty slow discussion on our board at the moment.

(Recently a lot of the discussion has been about our coaches, etc and would they ever drop Rich & Gunston. Then today happened)

Buller playing his first game 2 weeks after he was selected and has already extended his contract, shows you how much of an impression he must have made already, and that’s for a side who isn’t scraping the bottom of the barrel of their list. He’d have played for us last week.

Meanwhile we thought it was best to give NN an extra week and hold onto the slim hope he’d play a handful of games at the end of the year. 10/10 list management

I wonder if Briztoon spends as much time on Brisssie's board as he does on ours? If so he's got to be a student or unemployed.

Anyway - I get Sydney's interest in Barrass. Could WC make this work by getting WB involved.

WC hand over Barrass to Sydney for their 1st round pick and either their 2nd rounder or someone like Sheldrick.

WC forward Sydney's pick onto WB for English.

If WC feel they can cover Barrass then this might be a way of changing up the midfield especially if they can add Robertson to the mix as well.
Add Georgiades and the team takes on a different look all whilst holding the #1 pick.

Sydney's KPP depth is severely tested right now, Jack Williams would probably get a game for them too.

We could do that… but yuck. We aren’t contending in 2024, so bringing in a future FA a year early at significant player/draft cost is insane.

Also trading him for pick 6 and taking a younger player in the same position (who we hope/expect will be decent) is insane.

They dont have much leverage to trade him back West unless he has a contract for 2024.

Let's just say watching Buller next week kick 6 against the club who didn't want him is likely going to further negatively impact the Antartic ice shelf.

Things could get ugly.

Vic media will go doubly hard at the club if he has a half decent game.

Nic Nat was never going to pay again this year, it was so obvious. They couldn't afford another player, paying way to much for the older players.
Need to make sure from now on only 1 year contracts for players 30 & older, 2 years after 27 if they not happy about that then they can leave.
Wouldn't be surprised if Nic retires to help the team out with player payments.

Completely understand- forgot about the FA the following year. Would Naughton make this palatable?

And righfully so.

I know some of us have jumped on the "we are capped out" excuse, but unless the club specifically says that i find that hard to believe we couldn't put someone on for half a rookie contract (given a 6 month contract).
