Reid is a special talent. When he decides to turn it on he can take the game by the scruff of the neck.

Duursma looking great as is Grant up forward.
That’s the problem though. Is this a worrying trait or is he just coasting because he knows he’s pretty much a lock for pick 1? The talent is clearly there because he’s unstoppable when he decides to be, very D.Martin- esque but will need to lift that workrate once he hits the AFL because he won’t be able to bully players like he does now

Reid clearly an A grade talent.

Gets the ball at the source which is what we desperately need.
Strong mark and tackler too.

Not the finiished product at this stage. Nor are any of them. D Martin the best comparison.

We need that pick 1. No meaningless wins.

Harley's work in close was fantastic, and we've seen before that he's a threat up forward with his strength and marking ability. His footskills are a pretty notable question mark for me though, seems to be pretty erratic. Hopefully that improves in a full-time environment though, because the rest of his skillset is phenomenal.

If we did have another top 10 pick either from GC or losing Barrass, there's definitely some good options there. Any of Curtin, McKercher, Sanders, Watson, Dursma, Archer Ried would be handy pickups.

Reid has shown elite talent in every position. There has not been a position you point to and say he can't be elite at that positionm

Perfect cos he will start in HBF/fp/HFF for us. Then transition to outside mid/wing.

There is no shove inside mid day 1. He will have bung shoulders by 26. He needs to be taught outside game hence chuck him on wings.

There's a lot to work with Reid. If you had a one one with Reid and any other player (draft) you would pick Reid to win 9/10 hence why I want him

Harley and Duursma great, so I'll skip the obvious.

Archer Reid at 203cm key forward, has got better as the champs has gone on. He's one around the pick 19 mark, strong on the lead, quite quick, good set shot and provides defensive pressure. At his height he's a tough match up as a forward and a genuine 2nd ruck height.

Demattia didn't have loads of it at half back, but thought he was really damaging when he did get it. Over the champs he's played mid, fwd and back - great versatility! Kicking and speed his weapons.

Freijah, his best game of the champs. Long legs helps his really cover the ground as a winger, strong overhead and good in traffic. Gets forward to hit the scoreboard too.

Darcy Wilson has been underwhelming in the champs, but had z really good game today. Not quite sure on his best position though.

Nyko, Windsor and Lorenz all had good games as wingers/Flankers.

Jaggy Smith, Finn O'Sullivan were great today as underagers showing some real talent for next year. Smilie was ok, didn't get much of it but you can see huge talent when he does.

If Adelaide has pick 4..

Pick 4, Future first (6-10), North second rounder 2023 (20) and ?? for Pick 1?
Shouldn’t you be wanting to trade for next year’s first round pick from West Coast?

Thought your board would be all over Sid Draper for next year.

Wardlaw subbed out with “hamstring tightness”.

Bullet dodged? Particularly with our S&C team.
No doubt he's an absolute talent and if he can avoid the injury curse he'll be a great player for North for a long time.

But when considering this plus the flight risk label, I'm very comfortable with our decisions with regard to splitting the pick last season.

The problem with class is that players dont have to show the same effort as humans. Is it a character floor or a phase fo Harley? Our issue is you have it or you dont.

Riley Sanders won the Larke medal. Mckercher probably robbed.

Sanders was more consistent.
