Scuttlebutt on the Freo board all three parties open to a Yeo move. Would not surprise.

Freo fans are now working through the 6 stages of grief dealing with this potential outcome.

I think we'd only get a 3rd rounder. My only issue with him is that being in and out of the side with injury - that ambiguity tends to create problems. But a 3rd rounder - we'd be pretty much be giving him away for a scratchie. I'd rather just keep him.

Agreed. The only way I'd see us moving him is if we needed to clear salary cap for some reason (which I can't see why we would).

Probably to do something stupid like trade for a contracted player who's a free agent in a year (like English)

Yeo would be at his lowest trade value currently, so wouldn’t be in our best interest to trade him for a packet of chips.

That said, I’d consider a player trade. Johnson you’d imagine would be off the table. Would Erasmus be of interest? Not getting much seniors time this season.

Any trade discussions would have to be face to face of course, the Erasmus’ don’t check emails

More likely a Liam Henry or a Sturt fringe level player with potential.

If our medical team cant get Yeo on the field maybe someone elses can! He worth nothing to us if ours cant.

Get a kid in or a pick upgrade and move on.

Yeo plus 38 for Freo's 21 or Yeo and a F3rd for Freo's F2nd?

If he wants out move him on and get something to build with.

I don't claim to watch the North games in great detail. So i can't claim to have seen specific instances of suspicious behaviour like playing players out of position, having no players positioned defensively at stoppages etc that are the hallmarks of tanking. But their form has definately taken a decisive downward turn in the last few weeks. I think their attention has definately turned 100% to what draft picks they will end up with as opposed to being 50/50 trying to be competitive and win games vrs worrying about draft picks. Which often happens around the back third of the season with bottom 4 sides. They have a coach with a 5 year contract at a club that definately can not afford any pay outs and so is under no pressure for his job. And i think Clarkson is crafty and morally flexible type of bloke who would not necessarily take a win in the present moment at all potential future costs approach to the type of situation the club is in.

So in a nutshell, i will think carefully about putting some money on us to beat North. Because i think our coaching group is trying to win games to save their jobs (albeit with very little success) and North's is much more focussed on picks.

Except that North are actually shit and Clarkson isn’t currently coaching them.

The truth is they should have enough top end talent to get better by as they have been down the bottom of the ladder for years now.

I am going to watch the North game from a box, free alcohol. Last time I got to do this was against Essendon last year, you Kent’s know what happened next….
