Holding pick 1 means getting what we want, and historically although we been soft c***s I would be asking for this without any thought of a backward step.

Curtin and Mckersher for Reid. Otherwise take Reid and be done with it.

I’d also be asking Sydney for their R1 and R2 for Barrass, giving us Watson.
If we ended up with either Reid and Watson or Colby, Curtin and Watson...I'd pop my cookies!

We would have to give up a significant amount more than just TB and a couple of late picks to end up with 1,4,6 & 19. It’s not happening you guys need to take your Eagles sunnies off and stop starring at the sun and hoping for a gift from the heavens.

Pick 4 for Barrass and some salary is overs for a start and the Swans won’t do it unless something reasonable is coming with TB.

And then in what world would the Suns be trading pick 6 for 35, 37,53 & 55. They don’t need junk like that till draft night when they will be looking for significant point upgrades and cashing some of those points into next years draft.

Some guys in here need to start to flip it and say if we had pick 4 & 6 and were thinking of trading it what would you want. Won’t be a couple of late 2nd and 3rd rounders for pick 6 🤣.
GC got any overpaid contracted spuds we could potentially take off their hands to sweeten the deal though?

What exactly would GC want for their first pick? I was under the impression it was lots of later picks for points but don’t really understand.

Mate I’m just saying.Pick 1 we get what we want or no deal. We have played nice for too long, we don’t have this option no more because we are languishing at the bottom. Survival of the fittest.

And that for me is a Godfather offer that would ensure we get Curtin and Mckersher for example.

As for Sydney’s pick (4 or 5) and TB, this comes with the understanding they Sydney are in a need of KPD, experienced and ready to go. TB is contracted so I wouldn’t even negotiate until they have their R1 on the table as a baseline. Their R2 comes with Eagles paying TB salary in some form.

Otherwise go to the draft with our current haul 1, 19 .etc and good luck to everyone else at the trade table.

We don't have pick Number 1 in the bag yet anyway. I think North have started tanking. I don't think they are remotely interested in winning any more games this year. Their CEO is already having meets with the AFL asking/begging for PP's are asking what the criteria is. The Victorian media have started pushing the argument for PP's for them. Their attention has turned to picks rather than winning. Whereas the management of our club wants to get away with making as little change as possible at the end of the season and wants to have an argument to that end it can push and so i suspect it wants the most positive results possible over the last 6 games regardless of whether it costs us Pick 1 or not.

Hearing on tradies once dimma is at Gold Coast fair chance that pick 6 of Gold Coast will be going to Richmond for picks to look after them to match what they need and dusty on a improved contract

Sorry to intrude but what would you expect for a trade for Liam Ryan? Not to kick you while you're down but a small forward talent like that will be pretty well wasted during the rebuilding years and he could get you a decent pick to pick up a good kid or two.

Asked about him earlier in the year and heard somewhere between 18-25 ish, I'd think thats pretty close to it but with continued injury troubles hard to say - especially given your entire list has been injured half the year

In order for North to get pick 1 they would need to lose every match coming up including to us by more than 60 points with a couple of them being more than 100 points. We would also need to lose with very minimal margins (sub 20 points) in every game and win against north.

I don't understand your logic.

If North lose every game (including to us) and we jag a win in one extra game somewhere (on top of beating North) then North get the spoon and Pick 1.

He wouldn't leave WA, and even if he did, pick 18-25 isn't worth it for us to let him go.

The bigger issue for any club wanting Liam Ryan is convincing him to move outside WA and tbh it’s not a risk I’d want to take as a Victorian club

For that reason it’s unlikely a club would be willing to offer us enough in a trade for it to be worthwhile for us

A massive contract would probably be what entices Ryan from WA but then Carlton run the risk of relieving what they have with Mitch Mcgovern
