Pick 68. Clarke chucked it in with pick 3 and 63 to Carlton as part of our genius trade strategy because we weren’t getting reamed enough in that deal.

We chucked in picks 63 and 68?

No mention that in return we got Matt Owies and pick 73 (Hamish Davis)

Whatever your thoughts on the pick 3 for 12 and 14 part of the trade with Carlton, we did just fine out of the steak knives part of the deal

In essence, we turned Jack Darling into Matt Owies which I think turned out quite well for us

That’s why I said “part of” and I’d be very surprised if we didn’t get Hamish anyway. Don’t share your view on the rationalisation for Owies but can see why it could be looked at that way. I think the freeing of cap space and the list spot were the benefits of the Darling trade, and that his exit was handled with absolute dignity.

I don't know how you can foresee someone being a bust when they haven't played a second of action yet. We've seen enough players over the journey with small frames fill out nicely after a few pre-seasons. Fyfe was as skinny as a rake when he started. Hell, look at the Bont

Both are also 191-194 cm unlike Jagga who is 182 cm.

Even if they were all equally skinny the taller guys would still have a physical advantage

I did read a few years ago that BigFooty is the second largest Australian website in terms of usage.

Yep, that's correct. Interestingly, number one has not budged for almost a decade.

Thrillem Duursma put together a strong performance here for the Power. Having been tried in a variety of roles thoughout the year he looked to have settled into to playing a combo mid/fwd role late in the season which fits his dynamic and versatile skill set. If he can find more consistency with his disposal by foot he could prove to be a serious contender for the first pick in the 2025 draft.
