Statement: Runners revealed for 2020 Colgate Grand Final Sprint - https://www.afl.com.au/news/520498
J Clark is in the Sprint implies he will not be in the 22 + 4 emergencies of the GF.
That is a strong signal of showing he is definitely leaving Geelong??!!

Played 3 games all year so he isnt in their best 26 atm.

The Ainsworth melters are outwardly seething but on the inside they are somewhat relieved...he is the villain they need.

I'm calling it.

Ainsworth will be retained as a Hutchings replacement as our tagger.

Won't cost much$$, has the attributes and our recruiters save face.

You know it all adds up people.

To be fair to Bubba he hasnt been played in his preferred position. When he is then we can properly compare the two

His best position was winning the footy. 3 years in and he looks like a skinny draftee.

S&C team seems completely averse to putting any size on any of our players.

Other teams exploited the short quarters with more powerful athletes. We had lots of runners with (presumably) gas left in the tank when the siren blew.

Poor use of resources.

Didn't we put Darren Glass in the gf sprint one year?

Taking the piss

Surely its Anus's sprint to lose

From what I've seen so far it seems the biggest contribution Petro could make.

Finally a contender for Post Of The Year :partypooper:🥂

We need more of this around here to be honest.

I'll enter the vault and see what other gems I can steal.

Bottom line is there is a distinct lack of WA crybaby draftee's who want to come home, and if they do it's to Cockburn and their career gets ruined.

Vic teams, or any team should be confident with any WA based rookies they draft as history suggests it's fairly uncommon.

Or even the club targeting WA talent it's missed out on. That hasn't really happened lately either, Kelly aside, and boy oh boy did we pay for that.

Can't recall the last time we came out and said "We're into X player at such and such club, we know they are contracted, OOC but we rate them highly"

Clearly it's something we just don't do publicly, if at all.

Langdon is about as far as that's gone since Yeo at the end of 2013, and at the moment it's only speculation and nothing concrete either.

Swallow, O'Meara, English, Coniglio, Cripps, Bolton, Naughton, Taylor, Fisher all look to be lost for WA.

Hopefully the club is at least asking the question behind the scenes with Rivers, Robertson, Clark, Powell, Hill, Warner, Georgiades, Ruscoe types 🤞

I'm sure it's happened, it just doesn't feel like we've been very successful for such a big state and talent pool, with only 2 local teams.

How we have won 4 premierships is amazing.............

Would love to hear exactly what he said then.
I still don't buy it.

I do know he said something along the lines of "we still had the double chance if we lost" but that's not
the same as saying it during a game.

That's what I recall.

He said something like 'it was a tough stressful game even though we had the double Chance'.

Then people interpret comments to suit their agenda.

I feel Simo is tougher on players behind closed doors than people credit him with.

Imagine nailing every draft pick, every trade, having a team full of absolute superstars who all took pay cuts to stay together and win 10 flags in a row......

This guy gets it :westcoast:

but first we need to assemble the crack team who are going to nail every draft pick etc...

We need:

To be able to draft every troubled kid who is sliding in the draft and turn them around without sacrificing team unity
Gatorade bottle knocker over when things aren't going well
We need "Plan B" to be a match winning plan that we don't elevate to "Plan A" for some reason
Turn every mid into BBIMWBLF but also be able to run like the wind

then follow up with what you said above and longest dynasty ever

I think it was all at 3QT. Softy Simpson was doing his usual half hearted and weak attempts at trying to get a response from the team, placating them and telling them it’s ok if we don’t win.

Then in comes Meltdown Mitchell, full of anger and fire. All Gatorade bottles were assembled and then unleashed on our weak willed midfielders, along with abuse and insults.

Then we won 🤣

#Softymustgo #BringbackMitchell+Pyke

Which game are you talking about?

We just need to draft post draft. It is way easier that way.

Can't believe they have tried it

unfortunately Id say freo are well in front of us for Jordan Clark at this stage

Big problem is if you go to Melbourne or Sydney, and spend time there you realise they are far better than Perth so why go back? Unless you really are a mummy’s boy

Depends what you are looking for in life - I have lived in most cities in Oz, and would take Perth over Melbourne and Sydney. Hell, I would even prefer Adelaide to those two.
